Except people thought Waboku was trash because the text on the card didn't accurately explain the actual effect.

Is there a reason why they still haven't changed the in-game texts even after limiting this card? It still says nothing about protecting your monsters from being destroyed by battle this turn when it does exactly that.

They're too lazy to do it, that's the reason.

They didn't bother changing Armored White Bear and Sherry's anime cards either to make them the same as the real life print.

They'll do it only if a lot of people are asking for it.

A quote stolen from Frapplejacks on Reddit. "Duel Links uses the most updated TCG printing for the effect, yet uses OCG rulings. This is why we have some dumb 🔥 like Hollowed Life Barrier having battle protection despite it not being listed anywhere on the card, or having archaic wording of effects like Dark Elf. Darkness approaches got an erratum released online, but has yet to have a printing

this really should not prevent the destruction of monsters. nowhere on the text is that said or implied

Why? It works as intended. It didn't speficy what needs to be attacked (so it can be a monster or direct). It protects monsters because they can't be killed by 0 dmg (for example, you attacked with some high beater, they activate this, any dmg you would do with that monster is 0), it's normal ruling at work here.

It specifies damage. Attacking a monster in defence mode is NOT damage.they should fix the text in my opinion

Also, if I attack with 0, I should then recieve damage in return equal to the difference. That would be normal ruling at play

main advantage of that card is because you protect your monster and don't get dmg so it's is like both effects of impenetrable attack together. As a bônus it's protect you from effect dmg too.

If the card makes your opponent take 0 damage why is his card still on the field when this card is activated no where does it say on the card that it stops monsters from being destroyed?

Not really, attacking a def position monster doesn't deal any damage in most of the cases yet the def position monster gets destroyed

attack (with a no piercing damage effect monster) a DEF position monster when your ATK is higher than that monster's DEF and see what happens, no damage whatsoever but the monster gets destroyed anyways

It seems that there is a bug with this trap that causes monsters to not be destroyed - which according to the text on the card, should not be how it works.

Actually, I was wrong. I looked up rulings for the card, and it appears that it does actually prevent monsters from being destroyed... which is ridiculous for a normal rarity trap card.

So, in the game it says that it protectes your mosters by being destroyed... is this true or not? Does Duel Links follow the OCG or TCG format?

In the TCG, this card's effect does not protect your monsters from being destroyed by battle.
In the OCG, it protects your monsters from being destroyed by battle.
