Pros

It can special summon multiple monsters from your graveyard.
Can special summon high level monsters.

Cons

You need to summon this face up in attack position to use its effect, and it has 0 attack. Essentially similar to getting a direct attack if your opponent attacks it.
You need to pay 2000 Life Points in order to use its effect.
Can only special summon Fiend-Type monsters.
You can't use its effect if you only have 1 Fiend-Type monster in your Graveyard. Must have 2 or more.
You can't use its effect if you don't have 2 open slots in the Monster Zone.
The special summoned monsters can't attack on the turn when they are summoned.
Its effect can only be activated when it's tribute summoned.

Tips

Since this lowers your LP by a lot, this can be used to trigger the requirements of certain skills like Destiny Draw, or Creator.
Supremacy Berry to heal back the damage or use "Life Cost 0" to not use any LP when you're low.
Good options to special summon are: Summoned Skull, Diskblade Rider, or Mefist the Infernal General.
You can special summon Ritual Raven to ritual summon dark monsters by using Contract with the Abyss. Those ritual summoned monsters can attack the turn they are summoned. Ritual summon Garlandolf, King of Destruction to destroy all monsters, including the puppet master so it won't get attacked.
Possessed Dark Soul if your opponent has 1 level 3 or lower monster. The monster taken control will be able to attack right away.

I only find use for this on a hundred eyes dragon synchro, it takes him away

All you have to do is just bring out zorc and if necrofear had already been summoned you can use puppet master to bring back both

and u left with 2k or less life points and a monster with 0 atk in attack position ...

If this card had "cant be destroyed or attacked until its summons are destroyed" it would be worth. Its good if you get stuff like "Belial Marquis of Darkness" or have Bakura's traps out that change attack targets, but otherwise, not very worth.

If you summon puppet master, and play his effect and your opponent chains d.d crow and banishes one of your targets can you still special summon the other one?

yes but the ritual monster need to ritual summon first otherwise it cant special summon by any kind special summon card

not entirely sure what the "bug" is since a couple of people are saying it, but i tried it with 4k LP and was able to use it.
