Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by having 5 or more LIGHT monsters with different names in your Graveyard, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a Spell/Trap Card is activated: You can banish 1 Warrior-Type monster from your Graveyard; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. All face-up monsters you control must be Warrior-Type to activate and to resolve this effect.

You can use DNA Surgery to turn all your monsters into Warrior-types so that you can activate your negation effect.
You will most likely be banishing a LIGHT Warrior-type monster to activate Lightray Gearfried’s negation effect. You can Normal summon Black Luster Soldier - Sacred Soldier to return the banished monster to the graveyard and banish a card your opponent controls.
A large portion of Noble Knight monsters are LIGHT attribute and all of them are Warrior-types. They also lack any big boss monsters, a role which Lightray Gearfried can fill. The Noble Arms cards used with Noble Knights will also work on Lightray Gearfried. The only problem is getting 5 or more monsters into the graveyard.
Lightsworns are great at self milling easily filling your graveyard with LIGHT monsters to summon Lightray Gearfried. The only problem is that their types vary with only two of them being Warrior-types so it could be difficult to use Lighray Gearfried’s negation effect.
Here are some LIGHT Warrior-type monsters you can use alongside Lightray Gearfried as summoning condition and as effect condition and cost. Dawn Knight, Lightray Grepher are good for loading your graveyard with LIGHT monsters.
