How to Play

Dream Mirror Field Spells

The Field Spell currently active dictate which Dream Mirror monsters you can Special Summon, so they're essential to this Deck's playstyle. Generally speaking, Terror should be brought out during your turn while Joy is for your opponent's turn. The switch occurs during either player's End Phase by banishing the currently active Dream Mirror Field Spell.

Dream Mirror of Terror
Dream Mirror of Terror
Field Spell
Eternal Stream [UR]
During the End Phase: You can banish this card; activate 1 "Dream Mirror of Joy" directly from your hand or Deck. You can only use this effect of "Dream Mirror of Terror" once per turn. Each time your opponent Special Summons a monster(s), inflict 300 damage to your opponent. This effect is only applied while you control a DARK "Dream Mirror" monster.

It's quite rare for your opponent to Special Summon during your turn but the reason why we recommend Terror to be active during your turn is because the DARK Dream Mirror monsters are more offense oriented. You can still keep Dream Mirror Terror activate on your opponent's turn, which can be quite effective against modern Decks because of the amount of monsters they Special Summon with their combos.

Dream Mirror of Joy
Dream Mirror of Joy
Field Spell
Eternal Stream [R]
During the End Phase: You can banish this card; activate 1 "Dream Mirror of Terror" directly from your hand or Deck. You can only use this effect of "Dream Mirror of Joy" once per turn. "Dream Mirror" monsters you control cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects, or their monsters' attacks, except your "Dream Mirror" monster(s) with the highest Level. This effect is only applied while you control a LIGHT "Dream Mirror" monster.

Joy protects all your Low-Level monsters from battle and targeting, but does not protect your highest Level monster. This effect pairs perfectly with LIGHT Morpheus because of his inherent protection, with this your opponent can't easily get rid of any of your monsters during their turn.

Ikelos

Think of Ikelos as a way to bring out Morpheus. LIGHT Ikelos fetches Morpheus, while DARK Ikelos Special Summons Morpheus. While Morpheus is usually the ideal target, DARK Ikelos can Special Summon other Dream Mirror monsters to trigger their effects.

Ikelos, the Dream Mirror Sprite
Ikelos, the Dream Mirror Sprite
LIGHT Fairy ★1
ATK 0 / DEF 500
Eternal Stream [UR]
If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Dream Mirror" monster: You can add 1 "Dream Mirror" card from your Deck to your hand, except "Ikelos, the Dream Mirror Sprite". During the Main or Battle Phase, if "Dream Mirror of Terror" is in a Field Zone (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 "Ikelos, the Dream Mirror Mara" from your Deck. You can only use each effect of "Ikelos, the Dream Mirror Sprite" once per turn.
Ikelos, the Dream Mirror Mara
Ikelos, the Dream Mirror Mara
DARK Fairy ★1
ATK 500 / DEF 0
Eternal Stream [SR]
If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Dream Mirror" monster: You can Special Summon 1 "Dream Mirror" monster from your hand, except "Ikelos, the Dream Mirror Mara". During the Main or Battle Phase, if "Dream Mirror of Joy" is in a Field Zone (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 "Ikelos, the Dream Mirror Sprite" from your Deck. You can only use each effect of "Ikelos, the Dream Mirror Mara" once per turn.

Morpheus

LIGHT Morpheus is a powerful wall that should be summoned during the opponent's turn while Mirror of Joy is active for a protected board. DARK Morpheus on the other hand is a strong beater with simple yet effective costless targeting removal.

Morpheus, the Dream Mirror White Knight
Morpheus, the Dream Mirror White Knight
LIGHT Warrior ★8
ATK 1000 / DEF 2800
Eternal Stream [R]
If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Dream Mirror" monster: You can activate this effect; this card cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects this turn. During the Main or Battle Phase, if "Dream Mirror of Terror" is in a Field Zone (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 "Morpheus, the Dream Mirror Black Knight" from your Deck. You can only use each effect of "Morpheus, the Dream Mirror White Knight" once per turn.
Morpheus, the Dream Mirror Black Knight
Morpheus, the Dream Mirror Black Knight
DARK Warrior ★8
ATK 2800 / DEF 1000
Eternal Stream [R]
If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Dream Mirror" monster: You can target 1 card on the field; destroy it. During the Main or Battle Phase, if "Dream Mirror of Joy" is in a Field Zone (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 "Morpheus, the Dream Mirror White Knight" from your Deck. You can only use each effect of "Morpheus, the Dream Mirror Black Knight" once per turn.

Phantasos

Similar to the two Morpheus, the two Phantasos perform both support and offense roles by switching into each other.

Phantasos, the Dream Mirror Friend
Phantasos, the Dream Mirror Friend
LIGHT Beast-Warrior ★4
ATK 900 / DEF 190
Eternal Stream [N]
If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Dream Mirror" monster: You can target 1 Level 8 or lower "Dream Mirror" monster in your GY, except "Phantasos, the Dream Mirror Friend"; Special Summon it in Defense Position. During the Main or Battle Phase, if "Dream Mirror of Terror" is in a Field Zone (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 "Phantasos, the Dream Mirror Foe" from your Deck. You can only use each effect of "Phantasos, the Dream Mirror Friend" once per turn.

Upon summoning, the LIGHT Phantasos revives any of Dream Mirror monster. This is actually a great way to get two Phantasos on board to make a Rank-4 Xyz, or make a Rank-8 or 1 if you have another Morpheus or Ikelos on the field.

Phantasos, the Dream Mirror Foe
Phantasos, the Dream Mirror Foe
DARK Beast-Warrior ★4
ATK 1900 / DEF 900
Eternal Stream [N]
If this card is Special Summoned by the effect of a "Dream Mirror" monster: This card can attack directly this turn. During the Main or Battle Phase, if "Dream Mirror of Joy" is in a Field Zone (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 "Phantasos, the Dream Mirror Friend" from your Deck. You can only use each effect of "Phantasos, the Dream Mirror Foe" once per turn.

DARK Phantasos can attack your opponent directly, letting you steal some wins if your opponent is down to their last 1900 LP.

Extra Decks

Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis
Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis
LIGHT Dragon ★8
ATK 3000 / DEF 2500
Infinite Ray [UR]
2 Level 8 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Tribute any number of monsters from your hand and/or your side of the field (minimum 1), then destroy an equal number of cards on the field.

Heliopolis is one of the best generic Rank-8 monsters. The mass removal effect can help you clear the opponent's field and let you attack directly with Heliopolis.

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Tiger King
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Tiger King
FIRE Beast-Warrior ★4
ATK 2200 / DEF 1800
Eternal Stream [UR]
2 Level 4 Beast-Warrior-Type monsters
When this card is Xyz Summoned: You can Set 1 "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap Card directly from your Deck. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the effects of all face-up Effect Monsters currently on the field, except Beast-Warrior-Type, until the end of your opponent's turn. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can send 3 "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap Cards you control to the Graveyard; Special Summon 2 Level 4 or lower Beast-Warrior-Type monsters with the same ATK from your Deck, in face-up Defense Position.

This deck doesn't play any of the Fire Formation spell/trap cards, but its effect can be useful if you ever need a monster negate.

Keep in mind that this card can also negate your own monsters, except for Beast-Warriors, which are only the Phantasos monsters.

Abyss Dweller
Abyss Dweller
WATER Sea Serpent ★4
ATK 1700 / DEF 1400
Photons of Galaxy [UR]
2 Level 4 monsters
While this card has an Xyz Material attached that was originally WATER, all WATER monsters you control gain 500 ATK. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; any card effects that activate in your opponent's Graveyard cannot be activated this turn.

Abyss Dweller is used like a monster version of Necrovalley that's accessible to any Rank-4 spam Deck such as this.

Make sure to toggle your chain from "Auto" to "On" so you can use Abyss Dweller at the start of the opponent's turn where it is most effective. Chaining Abyss Dweller to an effect activation would not negate that effect.

Number 70: Malevolent Sin
Number 70: Malevolent Sin
DARK Insect ★4
ATK 2400 / DEF 1200
Photons of Galaxy [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; banish it until your opponent's next Standby Phase. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card attacked: You can make this card gain 300 ATK, and if you do, increase its Rank by 3.

Malevolent Sin is an anti-Xyz tech. Summon Malevolent Sin and use its effect to temporarily banish an enemy Xyz monster. The Xyz monster will return with no materials attached to it.

Steelswarm Roach
Steelswarm Roach
DARK Fiend ★4
ATK 1900 / DEF 0
Photons of Galaxy [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
During either player's turn, when a Level 5 or higher monster would be Special Summoned: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the Special Summon, and if you do, destroy it.

A decent turn 1 monster that you can bring out to get some control over your opponent, but not always useful against every deck.

Number 68: Sanaphond the Sky Prison
Number 68: Sanaphond the Sky Prison
DARK Rock ★8
ATK 2100 / DEF 2700
Infinite Ray [R]
2 Level 8 monsters
Gains 100 ATK and DEF for each monster in the GYs. Once per turn: You can detach 1 material from this card; until the end of your opponent's next turn, this card cannot be destroyed by card effects, also neither player can Special Summon monsters from the GYs.

The constant tributing means you'll eventually have a ton of monsters in the graveyard, putting Sanaphond's ATK over Heliopolis. Sanaphond's activated effect provides great self protection with a graveyard control effect.

Number 18: Heraldry Patriarch
Number 18: Heraldry Patriarch
LIGHT Psychic ★4
ATK 2200 / DEF 2200
Voltage of the Metal [R]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per Chain, during either player's turn, if 2 or more monsters with the same name are on the field: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; choose 1 monster among those with the same name, and destroy all other monsters with that name. While this card remains face-up on the field, your opponent cannot Summon monsters with the same name as any of the monster(s) chosen for this card's effect. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can send 2 "Heraldic Beast" monsters from your Deck to the Graveyard.

Useful card to bring if the meta uses decks that use monsters with similar names. Works quite well against Harpies or Cyber Dragons, preventing them from being able to perform long combos.

Other Cards Option

Chaos Dragon Levianeer

Chaos Dragon Levianeer
Chaos Dragon Levianeer
DARK Dragon ★8
ATK 3000 / DEF 0
Infinite Ray [UR]
Selection Box Vol. 02 Mini [UR]
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 3 LIGHT and/or DARK monsters from your GY. When Summoned this way: You can activate this effect; apply the following effect, based on the Attribute(s) of the monsters banished for the Special Summon, also this card cannot attack for the rest of this turn.
● Only LIGHT: Special Summon 1 monster from your GY in Defense Position.
● Only DARK: Shuffle 1 random card from your opponent's hand into the Deck.
● Both LIGHT and DARK: Destroy up to 2 cards on the field.
You can only use this effect of "Chaos Dragon Levianeer" once per turn.

Dream Mirror monsters are all DARK or LIGHT monsters and the constant tributing means you'll have a good amount of them in your graveyard, ideal for summoning Levianeer. This gives you an easily summonable powerful boss monster with a powerful multi-card removal effect upon summon.

Other Extra Decks

Sylvan Princessprite
Sylvan Princessprite
LIGHT Plant ★1
ATK 1800 / DEF 100
Selection Box Vol.04 [SR]
2 Level 1 monsters
You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; excavate the top card of your Deck, and if it is a Spell/Trap Card, add it to your hand. Otherwise, send it to the Graveyard. You can send 1 other Plant-Type monster from your hand or face-up from your field to the Graveyard, then target 1 "Sylvan" monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it. You can only use each effect of "Sylvan Princessprite" once per turn.

Princesspirte is a decent generic Rank-1 monster. Because you Special Summon from the Deck a lot, your Deck would become concentrated with Spell/Trap cards at some point so Princessprite becomes similar to a free draw effect.

Daigusto Emeral
Daigusto Emeral
WIND Rock ★4
ATK 1800 / DEF 800
Sign of Harpies [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then activate 1 of these effects.
● Target 3 monsters in your Graveyard; shuffle all 3 into the Deck, then draw 1 card.
● Target 1 non-Effect Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target.

In a long Duel, you'll eventually run out of things to Special Summon from the Deck so Emeral's recovery effect can help with this. As a bonus, you even get a free draw.

they being stingy on dream miror, they deserved their light boss and some of the trap...they didn't even give them the key cards for both the double fields. mercy on them

It's a shame that this archetype is so weak in Duel Links. I really like the concept and the artwork of the cards.

Using 6 field spells is just too much. You will very often start with a bricky hand.

Everything is too much for this archetype in its current state, it just doesn't work no matter what you try

Triamids can at least use the additional field spells in your starting hand. This deck is just much worse in every single aspect.
