Lol I still see Kaibaman get run left right and centre when this card is 100× better. Sure it can get negated by level 8 horus but kaibaman can get negated by a lot more and takes up your normal summon. For you blue eyes players please start using this. You will much prefer it

yeah but you can only have one of this card and it need you to farm your mokuba, when it's very easy to have 3 kaibaman, also it's not like you can't have both of them.

You can get a second Ancient Rules from Mokuba LVL 35 but gamea doesn't list that for some reason.

What makes this card so much better than kaibaman to summon a blue eyes like don't they pretty much do the same thing?

Dumb reason. The blue-eyes that you summon using ancient rules can also get floodgated. Also.. if you summon kaibaman, your opponent knows you're gonna special summon BEWD next, so they'll wait until you do that before they floodgate it. common sense. Duh.

Whether you special summon using ancient rules or kaibaman, the blue-eyes either way is vulnerable to getting floodgated.

I think the reasoning behind their Floodgate point is Champion's Vigilance making Blue-Eyes slightly more resilient to it. Plus, a 700 DEF Kaibaman's much easier to attack over than a 2500 DEF BEWD.

Simple answer: this card is much more versatile and can be used to Summon Dark Magician too (for decks that run Dark Eradicator Warlock or Sorcerer of Dark Magic)

How does this deck have two copies of this if you only get it when Mokuba is leveled up to 23? Unless I forgot how to math that only adds up to one card

Ancient wish is also a special summon, so you dont lose your normal summon on top of it. Good luck with having soul exchange if your monster requires more than 1 summon and will almost always a dead card at multiple points having to wait for opponent to summon a monster first in order to use soul exchange. What more? Wouldnt have to waste gems on a nearly useless large box.

Well good luck trying to overcome against a master of oz with ancient rules + blue eyes. For the weak monsters, you are right, skipping the battle phase is not really good but soul exchange can get rid of any problematic monster (except a few) and is applicable for both normal and effect monsters. ancient rules is a cool card as well but it is only an f2p version of soul exchange imo

I find duel links card rarity broken Ancient Rules is an extremely good card but only a Rare card. There are cards that are Super Rare or Ultra Rare and not as useful as Ancient Rules.

no one plays normal monsters,its all about effects.the only reason anyone plays DM b/c of it spells/traps makes it good

I like how you mention meta as if you're actually into it, but in the same breath you mention a trash ritual monster (with a momentum killing non attack clause) and a weak monster card that has zero synergy with any other card in the deck other than ones named "blue eyes white dragon".

Ancient rules is a great card. Except whenever it isn't turn 1 with blue eyes in the hand.
