this, banishing a monster from the GY is far better than paying 2000LP, however Mausoleum can be used multiple times when used with healing cards..
i guess it depends on your build, if you're running destiny draw mausoleum wins

Note that your opponent can also use Mausoleum, although the chances are unlikely but it's still a con.
Cant remember the name of the card but this is basically the same as Jim crocodiles fusion card from the GX series.

Nope, if you Special Summon before you use this card, you cannot use this card after you Special Summon. Konami does not allow you to.

Nope, that's not how "for the rest of the turn" works.

"For the rest of the turn" literally means what it says, it doesn't matter what happens before the card is activated, what only matter is after the card resolved.

Basically, regarding "for the rest of the turn", the first anon is already correct in that you CAN Special Summon first before using this card.

This "for the rest of the turn" ruling has been in place since at least 2012

See the section where Konami talks about "Bahamut Shark" which also has the "for the rest of the turn" restriction.
Finally I could make my Buster Blader deck more viable! Any pet deck will improve greatly from this.
This is too great. Nice for both farm deck and aggressive beater swarming . A wash-down version of ancient rule

Except with this one you can summon effect monsters not just normal monsters.
Ignored double tribute monsters from every pack are finally getting attention
