Duel Links Yosenju deck, Yosenju in the current meta, how to use.

Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Tiger King
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Tiger King
FIRE Beast-Warrior ★4
ATK 2200 / DEF 1800
Eternal Stream [UR]
2 Level 4 Beast-Warrior-Type monsters
When this card is Xyz Summoned: You can Set 1 "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap Card directly from your Deck. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the effects of all face-up Effect Monsters currently on the field, except Beast-Warrior-Type, until the end of your opponent's turn. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can send 3 "Fire Formation" Spell/Trap Cards you control to the Graveyard; Special Summon 2 Level 4 or lower Beast-Warrior-Type monsters with the same ATK from your Deck, in face-up Defense Position.

Upon summoning Tiger King, you get to fetch Tenki which results in fetching another Beast-Warrior monster, great for resource gain. The mass effect negation is very powerful because it can shut off powerful effects, like Cyber Slash Harpie Lady. Lastly, Tiger King floats into two Level-4 monsters letting you set up your next Xyz play. However, you do need to clog your entire backrow for this to work.

Maestroke the Symphony Djinn
Maestroke the Symphony Djinn
DARK Fiend ★4
ATK 1800 / DEF 2300
Shark Fang [UR]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 face-up Attack Position monster your opponent controls; change it to face-down Defense Position. If a "Djinn" Xyz Monster you control would be destroyed, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from that monster instead.

Most commonly used monsters have lower DEF than their ATK. Flipping them face-down can help you get over them easier, or use the effect to reset certain effects that were used on them like an ATK boost or equip cards.

Gagaga Cowboy
Gagaga Cowboy
EARTH Warrior ★4
ATK 1500 / DEF 2400
Gagaga XYZ [UR]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; apply this effect, depending on this card's current battle position.
● Attack Position: If this card attacks an opponent's monster this turn, it gains 1000 ATK, also the opponent's monster loses 500 ATK, during the Damage Step only.
● Defense Position: Inflict 800 damage to your opponent.

A staple Rank-4 monster. The defense position burn effect can occasionally steal you some wins. While the attack position effect is can help you attack over enemy monsters.

Number 91: Thunder Spark Dragon
Number 91: Thunder Spark Dragon
LIGHT Dragon ★4
ATK 2400 / DEF 2000
Infinite Ray [SR]
3 Level 4 monstersOnce per turn, you can activate 1 of these effects.
● Detach 3 Xyz Materials from this card; destroy all other face-up monsters on the field.
● Detach 5 Xyz Materials from this card; destroy all cards your opponent controls.

Summon Thunder Spark Dragon and use its effect for a field wipe. Gets rid of your opponent's entire board set up, and is especially punishing to opponents that overcommit their board.

Number 50: Blackship of Corn
Number 50: Blackship of Corn
DARK Plant ★4
ATK 2100 / DEF 1500
Voltage of the Metal [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls with ATK less than or equal to this card's; send it to the Graveyard, and if you do, inflict 1000 damage to your opponent. This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect.

Even though this card doesn't have that much ATK, it can be helpful when you go against something like Bloom Diva the Melodious Choir so you can make faster plays.

Diamond Dire Wolf
Diamond Dire Wolf
EARTH Beast ★4
ATK 2000 / DEF 1200
Voltage of the Metal [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast-Type monster you control and 1 other card on the field; destroy them.

A more costly removal effect, but still somewhat effective. For the destruction on your side, prioritize destroying Tsujik or Izna after spending their effects during the Main Phase.

Daigusto Emeral
Daigusto Emeral
WIND Rock ★4
ATK 1800 / DEF 800
Sign of Harpies [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then activate 1 of these effects.
● Target 3 monsters in your Graveyard; shuffle all 3 into the Deck, then draw 1 card.
● Target 1 non-Effect Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target.

Even though the Yosenjus go back to the hand, if you use them for an XYZ, they can end up in the grave. This is just to help with recovery so you can re-use them again.

Number 52: Diamond Crab King
Number 52: Diamond Crab King
EARTH Rock ★4
ATK 0 / DEF 3000
Arts of Atlantis [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; change this card's DEF to 0, and if you do, change its ATK to 3000. These changes last until the end of this turn. If this card attacks, it is changed to Defense Position at the end of the Battle Phase. If this card is attacked, change it to Attack Position at the end of the Damage Step if it has no Xyz Materials. You can only control 1 "Number 52: Diamond Crab King".

Use Izna and 3 so you can get some card advantage and slowly whittle down your opponent with Kama 2. Once you have a couple of Yosenju monsters and Sword Sting, you can return your opponent's cards so you can get a 3000 direct attack for a faster win than doing slow plays.

It's not recommended to bring this out early since you won't be able to recover the Yosenjus used as the materials for Xyz.

Gagaga Samurai
Gagaga Samurai
EARTH Warrior ★4
ATK 1900 / DEF 1600
Shining Hope [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 "Gagaga" monster you control; it can make a second attack during each Battle Phase this turn. When another monster you control is targeted for an attack while this card is in Attack Position: You can change this card to Defense Position, and if you do, change the attack target to this card and perform damage calculation.

Samurai is good at pushing damage because of his double attack effect. You can also give the double attack to a Cowboy in attack position to beatdown two enemy monsters.

Number 18: Heraldry Patriarch
Number 18: Heraldry Patriarch
LIGHT Psychic ★4
ATK 2200 / DEF 2200
Voltage of the Metal [R]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per Chain, during either player's turn, if 2 or more monsters with the same name are on the field: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; choose 1 monster among those with the same name, and destroy all other monsters with that name. While this card remains face-up on the field, your opponent cannot Summon monsters with the same name as any of the monster(s) chosen for this card's effect. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can send 2 "Heraldic Beast" monsters from your Deck to the Graveyard.

Heraldry Patriarch is basically an anti-Harpie tech. Harpies all change their name to "Harpie Lady" so Heraldry Patriarch's first effect can be used for removal, even during the opponent's turn. Then Heraldry Patriarch will prevent the opponent from reviving Harpies because they're all treated as "Harpie Lady" while in the Graveyard.

If you floodgate 2 of your opponents’ monsters you technically win the game.

I got KOG on November 1st with a weird deck. The idea of the deck is to let your opponent lose resources. This deck can counter everything due to the combination of hand traps and traps. I have won so many duels due to having drowning mirror force and the XYZ package.

Unending Nightmare outs Triamid traps and HHG. This Weasel Ratio is best when you're in a meta saturated with OTK decks. Oyam does its job as usual. Remember to Roach against Synchro decks, Patriarch against Harpies and Utopia for the OTK. With so much backrow and hand traps it is insanely easy to manipulate LP not only for the destiny draw, but also for the Utopia Ray OTK.

This deck is pretty much invincible now with Xyzs. They used to have a problem with being vulnerable if their backrow got removed and if their normal summons/Oyam got interrupted. But now they get to clear opponent field and have big beaters instantly. I don't know how to even think of beating this. The formula of floodgates and backrow removal isn't cutting it anymore.

nah just take a breath and think about the duel calmly;

*if they get an xyz then they can't activate the counter trap
*Oyam only copies original atk, any buff in your monsters is enough to get over it.
*Take each monster out one by one; it is clear which one should be priority. They can't recover stuff from gy.
*Poke them each turn make them waste their oyam and drowning in random weak monsters

Ok thanks. I have a better idea of what to do next time.

Shows improvement. It's inspiring

I just wish Konami makes new yosenju support especially for dealing with backrow. Like yosenju sword sting do but it bounce the set cards instead face-up. But it should not be trap card and it's quick-play spell or normal spell instead because the point is to get rid of opponent's backrow. Like MST or galaxy cyclone but it's yosenju card so it can be searched. Overall, they are good but the weakness is dealing with backrow since trunade is banned, they have problem with this.

what is better? classical or pendulum version?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
classical, pendulum version is vast inferior, only the classical version makes it far in tournaments
<< Anonymous
Candend Reply
Agreed. Wait for Sabu and Oroshi Channeling is playable, then the pendulum version might as competitive as classical.
Not KoG
Sylvio's skill made the Pendulum deck Tier 2. It shall get a nerf like Cyber Dragons once the quota is reached.

By this point I'm wondering if they plan to discontinue this game before Arc V world is released. Pretty much every character is having all of their cards fully available in boxes... who wants to play as only Yuma and the beautiful girls?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
1. We still don't have the Yosenju Pendulums yet

2. Sawatari also played Abyss Actors

3. Zexal and Arc-V both have plenty of characters whose cards are not available yet
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
They released even Yuya's cards, and even though the pends are missing, it's still worrisome.

22 cards yosenju? Experience with yosenju here. No need to put 2 drowning, 1 is fine also tenki is not needed, just add more kama 2, he is probably the best out of three because he can always do battle damage. Kama 1 is also good, but his effect is still target. Also put 1 more backrow removal (yes, 4 removals), if you play misawa with "quick as the wind" as skill, then cosmic is preferable to trigger it. If you don't have chalice, play hammer shot or smashing ground to get rid of bounzer/rhinosebus/cyber slash harpie/gaia/sabre dancer

2x kama1
2x kama2
2x kama3

Drowning Mirror Force (1-2)

I think you have to put 2-3 Sword Sting to make more survive against worst match up: triamid, witchcrafter. Or you may put 2 parallel twisters instead of cyclones

Any chance of this deck getting hit because of tenki?

yes.

I think they might hit Utopia Ray instead. It's very easy to 4 xyz summon and stealing the win with this deck
<< Anonymous(mako)

My take is that they are gonna go for either the one that searches or the one that returns to hand just to force you into buying tenki

A banlist material since introduction. This deck isn't fun, it is just can cer when people can run all kinds of cards from the hand. I couldn't count how many cards deserved to be banned here after they release Arc V.

traps like floodgate, canadia trecharous help.
Otherwise Powersinkstone or effects that negate effects like Witchcrafter. Are strong against them

Most Yosenju decks play 2-3 copies of Drowning Mirror Force. It makes them more predictable, but people still fall into that trap.

this deck deserve a nerf, how broken it is to activate effect from the hand

They just need to limit some of their sr then it can be balance.

Which SR?
They should limit 2 Fire Formation - Tenki instead.

Ha tell that to lunalight that di ed while even more broken decks (blue eyes) were left untouched

Are you new? Konami limits the problem card at the very last, first they massacre entire decks to keep the cash flowing, example: elementsaber di ed then keeper of dragon magic, then fusion reserve, all just to save aleister

Yosenju Kontol Deck Reply
Yes, I'm new.
A few weeks ago I started playing with Evil Eye deck and got bored of win streak. So I started over with Yosenjus. It is fun too.

Nice to know about that pattern. That's sick.

I like how nobody reads oyam's effect
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
This deck won't get hit because no one uses it, despite how OP it can be
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
haha most people who want oyam to get nerf is because they always uses otk deck, like cyber dragon. As long your monster atk get boosted, tie that binds for example. Oyam can be countered easily
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
After oyam dead, kiteroid, sword sting, and drowning say hi
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
nothing to do with otk, this broken deck is like only you can attack but all your opponent's attack will be negated, drowning is fine but sword sting is much more broken than dual wield
