Tips, Related Cards, Rulings

Cybernetic Support

Cybernetic Fusion Support is a good tech card to combo with Polymerization, when you Fusion summon Chimeratech Overdragon, by banishing applicable Fusion materials from your Field, Hand, or Graveyard. You need to have at least 1 “Cyber Dragon” on the Field, and pay half your LP to use this, reason is because it can greatly boost Chimeratech Overdragon’s ATK and DEF stats, as well as attack times. Cyber Repair Plant can be used to search LIGHT machine-type monsters to add it into your hand, giving you more possible Fusion materials. You need to have Cyber Dragon monsters in your Graveyard in order to use this card.

Fusion Support

Since you need Polymerization to Fusion Summon Chimeratech Overdragon, you can use these cards to support your Fusion actions. Fusion Recycling Plant can recycle 1 fusion material monster to your hand, and also search for Polymerization from your deck. King of the Swamp can be treated as 1 fusion material required for Fusion Summon, and at the same time it also can be used to search 1 Polymerization from your Deck. Fusion Sage can search 1 Polymerization from your deck. Fusion Gate can be used in conjunction with Cybernetic Fusion Support’s effect, since Fusion Gate is also banishing Fusion materials in order to Fusion summon.

Machine Support

One of the strengths of Cybernetic archetypes is that they can also use Machine-type support cards. Pulse Mines is able to switch all your opponent’s monsters into Defense position for that turn, Rare Metalmorph is able to negate 1 Spell that targets your Machine-type monsters and grants additional ATK power. Sergeant Electro functions to pin down your opponent’s face-down Spell/Traps, and can also be used as 1 of the Fusion materials for Chimeratech Overdragon.

  • Bear in mind that Cybernetic Fusion Support is not a substitute for Polymerization, it does not perform Fusion summoning, it only allows additional flexibility when you perform Fusion summon.
  • If you have multiple machine-type monsters in your graveyard, and/or hand, you can greatly augment Chimeratech Overdragon’s ATK and DEF stats to overpower your opponents’ monsters, by using Cybernetic Fusion Support. This is a permanent effect.
  • You can make use of its effect of sending cards you control to the Graveyard, by using tech cards like Wild Tornado, to destroy 1 face-up monster your opponent controls.
[Skill] descriptionUser
Last Gamble
Can be used in your Main Phase, starting from the fifth turn. Upon activation, reduces your LP to 100 and discards 2 cards from your hand. You roll a die and draw that number of cards. This skill can only be used once per Duel.

Joey Wheeler
Fatal Five
If a monster attacks 5 times during one turn, you win the Duel

No Excuses!
Can be used if your Life Points drop below 500. Instead of doing a normal draw, "Power Bond" is added to your hand from outside of your Deck. This skill can only be used once per Duel.

Fusion Time!
Can be used each time your Life Points decrease by 1500. In the Draw Phase, instead of doing a normal draw, Polymerization spell card, from outside of your Deck, is added to your hand.

Master of Fusion
Can be used each time your Life Points decrase by 1800. In the Draw Phase, instead of doing a normal draw, one Polymerization Spell Card, from outside of your Deck, is added to your hand.

Errata corrige.

* You can make use of its effect of sending cards you control to the Graveyard, by using tech cards like Wild Tornado, to destroy 1 face-up monster your opponent controls.

Absolutely not!
No way for Wild Tornado trap to take advantage of the Chimeratech OD's effect in order to destroy 1 face-up card your opponent controls; Chimeratech SENDS (not DESTROYS) cards to GY.
I tried playing around this card on tagforce arc-v special, limiter removal made this card into 120k atk beater. Yes, 120k atk.

It's Tag Force Arc-V. 5 zones MR3.

Not hard to get 120k ATK using Chimeratech under the old ruleset and 40 cards deck.

800 x 20 machines = 16000

1st Limiter Removal makes it 32000
2nd Limiter Removal makes it 64000
3rd Limiter Removal makes it 128000 ATK

And if you wonder how to make it has 20 materials, it's called dumping the materials using Future Fusion.

And then Overload Fusion to use all the dumped materials without having to wait for Future Fusion's delay.

So yeah, 120k ATK is perfectly doable back then.

It's just not possible anymore since Limiter Removal gets Limited, even more now that there's an errata nerf to Future Fusion.

Wow I can't believe GameA deleted my screenshot comment for no reason. Here's was the proof:
fun fact : you win the duel if a monster you control atacks 5 times in 1 turn, chimeratech effect only allow its to attack multiple times on monster, duel link only 3 monster zone, so if your opponent don't special summon 2 more monster in battle phase, you will never able to use Fatal Five lol

they want you to use impenetrable/halfshut on your opponent monster
I saw a street replay where someone used Last Gamble to get this card out. Then, he attacked twice with the dragon at 6400 attack (I think) after using Anti-Magic Arrows and won right there. The replay got over 800 stars/likes. It was pretty cool.
Fun fact: If you Floodgate him, his stats become 0.

can you please read the card properly it can atk your enemy monster multiply time not direct atk multiply time
If your hand has five monsters in it plus a Poly, you've already lost.

This plus Big Bang Shot with at least four monsters fused with it would be awesome if not for ECon, Sphere Kuriboh, Kuriboh, Windstorm, Curse of Anubis, Mirror Wall, Rainbow Life, Adhesive Trap Hole, Floodgate Traphole, Draining Shield...

Curse of Anubis wouldn't stop it tho, only works on effect monsters

This IS an effect monster. Jesus Christ
could make last gamble deck with this? use cybernetic fusion, clear the grave yard. storm to clear back row or anti magic arrows and hope they dont have spherebola. also if your running sphere kuriboh because most of these are light monsters could have dark flare dragon support! lots of oppertunities for a fun deck, without bringing cyber d into the game it wont be meta but definately fun to play!
