Sorry but how did yusei defeat this carx with trap card effect when it's not affected by other card effect? Other than the summoning condition, is the effect also different in anime?

I see, so that's why. Now how can you defeat the Real Life version if someone managed to summon it. I mean the monster itself cause you can obviously attack directly or use burn damaged to defeat the player.

You could use it as tribute to summon something.
Lava golem if he had other monster, or in the future, just kaijuu it.

On a second note, he can't do anything either other than attacking monster with this card.

The effect that place Zushin Counter is once per turn, but only says "this card" instead of mentioning name, so if you have 3 copies of this card in your hand, you can place 3 Zushin Counters per turn, one for each copy of this card.

When you reshuffle in the copies, they're technically a new card when drawn, meaning if I had activated 3 copies of Zushin and placed 3 counters on one monster, reshuffled 3 Zushins into my deck and drew all 3 with a card like Mallet, I could place 3 new counters on my monster for a total of 6 counters in one turn.

sorry, i assumed the wrong thing, because zushin says it is unaffected by other cards' effects. samurai destroyer interferes with the opponent as well and the video above is the result.

I checked, the same thing also applies with Zushin vs Hope Lightning.

Hope Lightning's effect will prevent the ATK effect of Zushin from activating, even though Zushin says it is unaffected by other card effects.

My guess, is that this happens because when such effects face each other, the one that actually negate wins. Zushin simply make things not affect him, but does not negate those things.

Meanwhile, Samurai negate effects, so it wins.

As for Hope Lightning, my bad, after checking again, it's actually a slightly different case. Hope Lightning wins because it affects YOU, preventing you from using effects, not affecting Zushin itself.

No, you almost got it right, though.

Here's the deal: as you said, Utopia the Lightning affects the opponent instead of Zushin itself.

The thing is, that's what Samurai Destroyer also does. It also affect the opponent instead of Zushin itself, meaning you cannot activate Zushin's effect that changes its ATK.

Ways to counter, if you ever face it: Share the Pain would force its sacrifice; Creature Seize would force the opponent to swap control with you.

Yep, anything that force the opponent instead of directly affecting Zushin itself, will work.

In the TCG you can have one zushin in ur hand but can add up to three counters to your monsters, How you may ask? Just lie!
