Special Summon this card as an Effect Monster (Rock-Type/DARK/Level 4/ATK 1800/DEF 1000). (This card is also still a Trap Card.) While this card is an Effect Monster, if another Trap Card that is a monster battles an opponent's monster, after damage calculation: Destroy that opponent's monster.

Pros

  • Grants all your Trap Card monsters the ability to destroy opponent’s monsters after damage calculation
  • Good ATK stats.
  • Can also be used to Tribute summon higher level monsters faster.

Cons

  • Vulnerable to backrow removal since it is also a Trap Card
  • Weak DEF stats.
  • Uses up to 2 zones (1 monster zone, 1 Spell/Trap zone) while active.

Tips

  • Trap card monster decks are prone to being destroyed by backrow removal cards such as Sacred Phoenix of Nepthys, Darkstorm Dragon, Storm, Straight Flush. These cards are capable of removing all your backrow Spell/Trap that includes Tiki Soul, which means Tiki Soul will not be able to protect your Trap monsters.
  • Other cards such as Xing Zhen Hu, Sergeant Electro, Chow Len the Prophet that has the effects of locking down your backrow Spell/Trap zone can also be a potential threat. This can be quite dangerous if your backrow is clogged up, it will be very hard to use other Spell/Traps to turn the tide and you have to rely solely on your monsters.

Continous Trap Monsters

These are the monsters that is able to utilize Tiki’s Curse’s effect to destroy your opponent’s monsters faster. Tiki Soul has the most synergy with Tiki’s Curse as it is able to set Tiki’s Curse back to your backrow should your opponent destroy it via battle or card effect. Having multiple Tiki Soul could potentially grant indestructibility for all your Trap Card monsters.
