Skill Details

Your starting hand will reflect the card balance of your deck. This Skill will not activate unless you have at least 6 of each type of card (Monster, Spell, and Trap) in your Deck. You cannot Special Summon or activate monster effects until the end of the Main Phase of your first turn.

What do you mean that a lot of people don't use it? Balance is the No.1 skill in the popularity ranking. I am betting that a massive nerf will come on this month end after KC. Dec banlist they nerfed all the broken decks - Invoked, DM, Shiranui, Crystron, Karakuri.. I am happy that they are finally serious with the banlist.

Thunder Dragons are annoying af and don't use balance either. The most used ranking doesn't always mean anything since it usually makes up a good chunk of lower rank play in ranked and KC. Noble Knights are overrated and had to have a bunch of decks nerfed to hell and back just to be good. If anything it will just get the "hey trunade hit".

Not really that much. I only saw one tournament deck listed as using it. It's still almost all blue-eyes skills. Idk why anyone would use it with Balance since it's already consistent enough. To make the skill work with it, your deck has to be gigantic, too. So, it's actually worse imo. I prefer Master of Fusion for my blue-eyes.

You can also use it to prevent yourself from getting a bad opening hand.

In any monster card game, consistency is key. Not trying to improve your consistency is a really dumb move.

It's not broken, you're just salty you lost to someone whose deck is more consistent while you refuse to make your deck more consistent.

Yea, in any real card game we try to make deck more consistent with actual deck building strategy (choosing cards, utilizing resources) not by 'fixing' the RNG with something called a 'skill'

That's still important here even with Balance.

You're not going to be able to use Balance unless you choose your cards/resources carefully so that your deck can activate Balance.

They nerfed balance earlier but it is still the most used skill now. Every single user know that this is currently the most broken skill. Starting hand manipulation should not be allowed.

ofc that's a pattern we have seen since the beginning of DL; if your decks gets hit by the banlist or just sucks move to a "Balance" build.

This skill must leave, it kills the whole purpose of deck building: finding ratios so you don't brick and let's not talk of the abuse of trap cards with this skill.

I have 50% monster, and 50% spell/trap in my deck. I have a better chance of drawing spell/traps without using this skill. WTF.

See, you think that, and then the RNG decides "You know what he needs to draw? 4 completely useless cards (4 mons, for example)... three duels in a row." People use the skill to prevent the risk of a dead hand.
