A skill that can prevent bricking is definitely broken. TCG had a lot of cancrous cards but you won't find any meta deck with 100% consistency. Only cheating can get you 1 of each monster/spell/trap in every starting hand.

Just because you can get a monster, spell, trap, in your starting doesn't mean you still can't brick when they aren't any of the ones you need to start your combo. Back when dark magician was a thing, I can't even begin to tell you how many times I never opened with navigation OR circle despite having 3.
What was broken was the old balance back before it received any nerfs. Because you could use it for ANY deck. The fact that you need traps for it to activate and a certain amount of everything means not every deck can tailor itself to using it. Some decks aren't good with it. I dueled an Aster using lunalights with balance and he died a miserable death. When traps pretty much die, so will this ski
They nerfed balance earlier but it is still the most used skill now. Every single user know that this is currently the most broken skill. Starting hand manipulation should not be allowed.
