They don't powercreep akiza because she's already very popular in the meta. She has Balance guys... and also what grows in the graveyard, damn... that Dark Verger is op, turn 1 Synchro Summon

what i dont understand is they seemed to DELIBERATELY make akiza and all of her level up rewards comepletely useless and then you duel her at the gate and she has awesome cards like this that you cant even obtain its really irritating me because i want to use akiza but she is unplayable at this state

I can see why they'd hold off. Though on that same note, it baffles me that they chose Copy Plant for Akiza's skill rather than this.

This or Witch of the Black Rose, which actually combos with Rose Fairy that they give 3 copies of.
