A comment from Sil:
Very consistent deck for beginners in the game, Psi-Reflector is a very strong monster. I tested the deck in every way, but with only 1 RDA / Assault Mode I found it more consistent. Forbidden Chalice despite being little used won me numerous duel. I'm using Vulcan because I still can't get Brionac. ps. First Kog with the new account, I created it just 19 days ago.

A comment from JoeMahma:
I'll admit that my decklist isn't perfect. I started the game about 2 weeks ago and haven't yet got all the cards for this deck, but it was apparently good enough. I'll start by suggesting improvements: switch econ for another TTH, fiendish or pettlephin for winda or ambush, and return can be a brick, so maybe cyclone instead.
This deck is very spontaneous, so there's no point in me trying to explain it. Plasma comes in handy for Cocytus, Chain can be helpful against subterrors and shiranui. Thankfully, I didn't go up against too many darklords, but bouncing Nasten with Pettlephin is the go-to play. Wen is optional, but I like having a third tamer. I got to Legend 4 using gold sarc, but then I got my third cannahawk and switched it out. And yeah, that's basically the deck. For those who are still climbing to KOG, I wish you all good luck!

my deck is focus on otk but really weak (comparing with meta) tbh, doing very well against white dragon and subterror , but only doing OK against others. 66 wins (very lucky I would say) I LOVE WINDA SO MUCH!

A comment from Kortezzy:
The skill guarantees a spell you really really want grass but all spells are good.
A funny combo is to banish the master to get cheap destruction.
Fusion can help with floodgates
Extra bacon allows for at least one in the grave.
The samurai allows for banishing on your opponent's turn (Use this to set up spirit master). Also, it can banish monsters as well so you can clear back row.
Kiteroid and bacon can win the game.
(Watch out for sealed tombs it stops this)
Finally, a tech card could be the naval counter trap card to banish monsters and pop off. (I've seen many people using it)

A comment from Felicia:
How to Play? Must have this skill on or it doesn't work. The points to the deck is not having a hand at all. you literally want almost everything in the graveyard except Chaos Hunter if you get a the That Grass Looks Greener and a Into the Void in the first hand, its basically an auto win.
Dont save any trap cards unless your finding a way to go into the graveyard. Chaos Hunter is to shut down any deck that banishes monsters, Kiteroid just incase when a first turn kill happens, Bacon Saver for same reason as Kiteroid, Galaxy Cyclone for when also it gets into the graveyard for the extra help.
KEYCARD for this deck is the Burgeoning WhirlFlame. this card can activate anytime thats in the graveyard. make sure you have a Squire to put it back in the graveyard and its not once per turn either. all the other cards i havent mentioned is basically automatic when you learn Shiranui.

Hi, this is my KOG deck January 2020, Shiranui, Very fun to play and great against any meta deck. Main trouble: "sealed tombs", Necrovalley, but have answer to everything. Brionac great and easy synchro (unexpected sometimes). Nine-tailed fox (Kyubi) is useful to the defense, if you no have kiteroid or bacon saver in the grave.

Tantowi | Draw Sense: Spell/Trap | Jan 18 |
A comment from Tantowi:
Notes: When grass would make it 30 card deck, I have made a 20 card deck but with needlebug nest.
For banishing, I have added Dimension Gate and Premature Return.
Dimension gate will help to escape targeting FX, or just plainly activate, like spirit master to destroy a face-up card and still be able to negate a potential attack.
Premature Return can stop an otk, provided if a Shiranui is being banished, and having a card preferably another Shiranui. Do remember if you, say banish solitaire and then special summon it back, it's effect is not activated so watch out.
Needlebug nest might not send the essential cards, but at least no more of 30 card trying to get that grass.
This deck can probably beat some of those meta decks, except gravekeeper, of course.
Do not tamper with the extra deck unless you're testing something better, 2 sunsaga's are better than one

SerpentineKing3 | Mighty as FIRE | Jan 19 |
A comment from SerpentineKing3:
Definitely more aggressive than my previous decks. There were so many moving pieces to keep track of I often nearly timed out, but that's the great part about Shiranui, they're very versatile in the plays you want to make.
Gold Sarcophagus was useful in getting rid of Elementsaber Molehu or any other face-up cards especially in order to allow Synchro summons that turn.
World Legacy Clash was useful in protecting monsters as well as triggering the effect of Spiritmaster when needed.
Samurai Skull was used for additional banishment options as well as being able to send Bacon Saver to protect from potential lethal.
The Skill "Mighty as FIRE" gave all Shiranui monsters +500 ATK to help ensure OTKs.
The hardest match was Darklords due to Desire and Sanctifying, but World Legacy Clash helped with that match somewhat. Otherwise, the deck is focused completely on summoning strong monsters to punish the opponent, and was lots of fun.

Standard version of Shiranui deck, without big changes. Only Aloof Lupine in place of Gold Sacophagus. Excellent for the midle of the month, with numerous wins in sequence until Kog.

cala92 | Level Duplication | Jan 22 |
A comment from cala92:
Although this deck can be expensive, I tried to use the cheaper recipe for this deck
I used the skill level duplication, because it help you to summon high level monsters that level augment. The used of the canadia or trap hole was amazing to use against dm or invoked deck. The use of samurai destroyer is for annoying decks such as yubel or subterror and shiranui samurai for control and banish annoying monsters as blue eyes rock. Clash is a good option to play in this deck because it allows you to use the true power of this deck

My deck is a typical Shiranui with Level Augmentation. Recomendation is to start with Sunsaga if you are first, clean up backrow with Squiresaga if you are second

Shiranui is one of my favorite deck in real life and won several tournaments when Burning Abyss was a tier deck before.
Same gameplay as other shiranui but I put Chaos hunter for mirror match and other cards that have removal effects.
Samurai is a big help for the removal of monsters via battle and can also be a setup combo.

Colombia日本語 | Mind Scan | Jan 28 |
A comment from Colombia日本語:
My KOG deck for this month, which I cannot possibly believe was for the fifth season in a row, and second in a row this month being Shiranui. I run the deck consistently with Pegasus’ Mind Scan, which gives me the edge on what they have face down.
I’ve been surprised that out of all the decks I’ve ever played, this one has been the most consistent in terms of the draws. The only bad draws would be if I just draw the tuners and no other monsters.
As for how it’s run, I have two strategies. It’s either to get the Lv8 synchro out as fast as possible with Solitaire, tribute it and bring out the Lv2 synchro, get those in the graveyard and get out the Lv8 out for a 5500ATK and combine it with Samuraisaga’s effect to make an opponent’s target lose 500ATK and go for the kill.
The other strategy is to hopefully get Squire and Gold Sarcophagus in the starting hand. Once I do, I can easily synchro summon the Lv10 synchro without any problems, and have enough zombies in the graveyard to keep it on the field for as long as I need it there and go for the win. Squiresaga is very pivotal in this deck, as it can do a great amount of damage in the back row and not have to worry about that end. I sometimes flip flop and have two in the extra deck and take out one of the Lv8s.
The only weakness I find for this deck would be the Darklord or the Magician decks as they can instantly change the field. All other decks I have seen I can tear it to shreds, like an Ancient Gear, Dragons, or even Triamids, which I had problems in the past. The most formidable I found would be the Invocation decks, and it can go either way depending on the situation and your starting hand.
