Tips, Related Cards, Rulings

Essential Card

This is the only card that can Special Summon Cyber Laser Dragon. You also need to tribute 2 “Cyber Dragon” monsters on your field to activate this card, which is quite costly.

Machine Support

One of the strengths of Cybernetic archetypes is that they can also use Machine-type support cards. Pulse Mines is able to switch all your opponent’s monsters into Defense position for that turn, Rare Metalmorph is able to negate 1 Spell that targets your Machine-type monsters and grants additional ATK power. Sergeant Electro functions to pin down your opponent’s face-down Spell/Traps, and can also be used as 1 of the Fusion materials for Chimeratech Overdragon.

Tips

  • Unlike other Cybernetic Monsters, this monster is unable to benefit from any Cybernetic Support cards available at the moment.
  • Specific summoning conditions also make this monster hard to summon, but can be rewarding due to its effect of destroying your opponent monster that has equal or higher ATK stats, without going through battle.
  • The advantage of this card is that it can be in either your Hand, or Graveyard, or Deck, when you perform Special Summon, giving more flexibility on this area

All well and good, I love gimmick decks (decks from the anime) however, that's the point in adding Cyber Laser Dragon without adding Photon Generator Unit?

You know what's funny about nomis and this card? That since this doesn't ignore summoning conditions, it can't summon Cyber Laser.

It isn't a bad card. But is the removal effect really worth it considering most people play decks with around 10 level 4 monsters?
