Interesting potential. Fill up the last monster zone to counter Red-Eyes Return. Use a "When destroyed" monster effect like Dragon Summoner and Emissary of the Afterlife. Not great, but certainly has use.

Konami really should reprint this card with PSCT, the discard is ruled as effect and not a cost, but the old text write it like it's a cost......

Your opponent will most likely select the strongest monster they can take. Just select a weak monster or any monster of little use to the opponent, then activate "Owner's Seal" to turn the tables on them.

No, the discard on this card is a cost, not an effect.

You're incorrect. It actually is an effect.

I checked the Ruling, and yeah, it is part of the effect for some strange reason.

However, it still doesn't work with Dark World, because of missing the timing. The discard is part of the effect, but is not done at the same time as the special summon. The special summon from this card will cause DW monsters to miss the timing.
