Pros

  • Strong DEF stats.
  • Can banish 1 “Gem-Knight” card in order to recover another “Gem-Knight” monster from the Graveyard to your Hand.

Cons

  • Need to summon it again to make it Effect monster.

Tips

  • It is a good idea to set this monster so that it potentially deals damage to your opponent when they attack with a lower ATK monster. Then you can Normal Summon it again during your turn to make it an Effect monster.

Gem-Knight Fusion Monster

Gem-Knight Iolite serves as 1 of the possible Fusion materials in order to Fusion Summon the listed Gem-Knight Fusion monsters, at the same time, its effect allows you to banish any of these Gem-Knight Fusion monsters from your Graveyard to recover 1 Gem-Knight monster from your Graveyard to your Hand, setting up for another possible Fusion Summon. If you have banished Gem-Knight Zirconia, you can even use Release from Stone to Special Summon Gem-Knight Zirconia to the Field.

Huh, yeah, that's odd, I just noticed now that it's N rarity despite being a level 4 with 2000 DEF......

Perhaps this hints that we're getting the original Cyber Dragon alongside Zane? 2000 DEF means nothing in front of Cyber Dragon, after all.
