When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Target the attacking monster; negate the attack, and if you do, change it to Defense Position and it cannot change its battle position while it is face-up on the field. Then, your opponent chooses 1 of these effects.
● You (the opponent of this card's activator) gain LP equal to half the target's ATK.
● Your opponent (the activator of this card) takes damage equal to half the target's ATK.

Disrupts an attack.
Locks the attacking monster in defense position.

Cons

Can only be used in response to a direct attack.
Your opponent gets to choose one of two positive effects for them.

Tips

The burn damage can still kill you if you have low LP and your opponent attacks with a strong monster.

Change to Defense

Locking a monster in defense position is not really that useful since you will most likely destroy them the next turn, or the opponent can just use it for a Synchro Summon on their next turn. The activation of this card requiring a direct attack also makes it more difficult to use. In effect it is better to use cards like Enemy Controller and Paleozoic Canadia.

So basically, negate an opponent monster's attack and render it mostly useless for the rest of the duel, for a chump change of you receiving some damage or your opponent gaining some LP.

This is actually a rather good card, if used at the right timing.

Not really that good. You could just use Canadia, E-Con or Sphere Kuriboh if you want to change the battle position of the opponent's monster. Usually, you're going to destroy that monster in the very next turn so it doesn't matter if they could change it back to ATK position or not.

How is it good when it allow your opponent to still hit with burn damage (half of the attack value)?

Also the monster still face up. Which makes is an inferior Enemy Controller. It locks monster in defense position but doing such thing is mostly useless because our opponent will simply tribute it or use it for synchro / ritual / fusion / xyz summon.

Welp, this card is Floodgate traphole without face-down (so you can still target the card) and with some burn damage.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there's a 🔥TON of cards that activate when the opponent deals direct damage to you, so that's that.

This card is strong, given it's f2p. It blocks attacks but not effects, very useful still though, against monsters like purgatrio or twin burst
