Equip to your strongest monster so you do not take damage from other weaker monsters on your field.

Battle Effects

Some monsters are useful to crash into your opponent’s monsters so that you can trigger their effects. Central Shield can help you negate the damage from crashing monsters.

No it doesn't. When control switches, it explodes.

Best used alongside cards that redirect attacks to your other monsters that cannot be destroyed in battle.

If it doesn't prevent destruction then it is not that much different from just using holy guard.

Holy Guard only works on your own turn, though.

This card also works on your opponent's turn, but in exchange, you still take battle damage if your opponent attacks the equipped monster.

I don't really quite understand this. Ok no battle damage = NO INFLICT DAMAGE TO THE USER or OWNER. But I wonder if example an enemy with 3000 atk attacked a user with 2800 atk whose been equipped with this card, will the card be send to the grave due to power difference?

Coz if it will still be sent to grave, I don't really see big deal if it can't protect the card it was equipped with.

I guess this was an anime-only card used by Luna? Has anyone come up with some good uses for it or any interesting combos?

It's technically a Leo card (she was using his deck at the time). There isn't much to say about the card itself, though. It's a more searchable, but quite a bit worse, Spirit Barrier. It's useless in a Deck like Cloudian since all of your monsters are low ATK.

Invoked Cocytus, since it attacks while being in defense, equiping it with this pretty gives you a good protection so you don't take battle damage from your other monsters.

Still, not exactly a "big"combo but you could say it is a bit useful.
