Evaluation

RatingB+

Pros

  • Prevents all non-Spirit monsters from activating effects.
  • Can continuously lock-out monster effects.
  • Good stats.

Cons

  • Returns to the hand during the End Phase.

Tips

Normal Summon

Since this monster cannot be Special Summoned, you can use effects like Double Summon or Arrivalrivals to give you an extra Normal Summon for this card.

Staying on the Field

Izanagi lets you keep your Spirit monsters on the field while he is face-up. Mirror of Yata has a similar effect but only on the monster it is equipped to, it also provides the monster with one-time protection from destruction.

Rock Stun

Refers to a strategy which involves using Rock-type monsters with effects that restrict your opponent's plays. Koa'ki Meiru Wall and Koa'ki Meiru Sandman deck go well with this card because they negate your opponent's Spell and Trap cards respectively while Amano-Iwato prevents them from using monster effects. Amano-Iwato returning to your hand can then be used for both Koa'ki Meiru monster's maintenance cost.

Wow a Jinzo for monsters, that's amazing. Will this card synergize with the rock type monsters of the upcoming box? Maybe with ties of the brethern?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Ties of the Brethren doesn’t work with this for one simple reason: “Cannot be Special Summoned”
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Can dna surgery keep it on the field?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Going back to the hand has nothing to do with its card type.
If you want to keep him on the field, you should negate its own effect during each end phase
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
You only need to negate that effect once. Afterwards, it won't return to your hand anymore.

Can counter subterrors, right?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Can counter any deck that use monsters, so basically el 100% of decks, so yes, it counters subterrors.

Well, I sure do hope they won't release true dracos anytime soon or we're gonna see this card A LOT
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
true dracos in the next main box (the one after cyber)
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
True Draco most likely won't happen, they've stated they want DL to have a different meta than in real life.

That's why we have decks or cards that are never meta in real life, be meta in DL.

Subterror says otherwise
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Subterror in TCG is completely different than DL
TCG is Guru control
you should used Six Sam as example instead

One of the best spirits in master dueling is brought to duel links? wow.

only one copy and u have to "catch" the event to get it
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
It's not just one copy, this will be a drop in the second Inglorious Bastion event.

TCG. It's called TCG. Don't let Vrains fool you.
<< Anonymous

umm, OCG is also in Master Duel format.
some smuck
This card plus forbidden chalice to keep it on the field during your opponents effects locked down. Won't stop things like Red-eyes/Neos fusion from getting the monsters on the board but at least you can halt their effects for the turn.
Anonymous
Hmm, does this negate all monster effect in deck, extra deck, graveyard, or are banished too? If it does, it slows down a lot of archetypes
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
It doesn't specify "on the field" like Jinzo does.
<< Anonymous

I see, thanks

We have no Ash Blossom, Ghost Ogre, cherries and those things are what made this card used. Best thing to stop is, maybe SK and Skull meister. Probably not worth running because we’re not hand trap heavy meta
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
We already have cards to keep Spirits on the field even during opponent's turn.

Use Spiritual Energy Settle Machine or Izanagi to keep Amano-Iwato in the field even during opponent's turn.

use the skill duel standby

Actually it is good in the TCG not only because it can prevent handtraps, but also because most of the negation in the tcg is in the form of monster effects, so you can just summon this, activate raigeki and there's absolutely nothing your opponent can do
<< Anonymous
Boo Reply
Nova Dragon negates raigeki

that's a cave! we can summon a friggin CAVE! and it returns to our hands!

Summon this = no Shi’en, no Kuriboh, no White Stone

This might actually be interesting.

We already have cards from Dark Neostorm lol.

Black Rose box has World Chalice Guardragon Mardark and Deus-X-Krawler, both are from Dark Neostorm.

So we have even newer cards in DL already.

And this card, along with others in Black Rose box, isn't even the first time we got a card from Circuit Break.

Luna already has Elemental Grace Doriado as drop since the opening of 5Ds world. Tristan has Muscle Medic on his level-up reward. Overdone Burial and Arrivalrivals are also both from Circuit Break AND has been in DL for a long time.
