Yubel Nephthys: deck recipe

This deck takes advantage of Disciple of Nephthys to destroy Yubel and Special Summon Yubel - Terror Incarnate. Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys and Cerulean Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys can then be used to finish off your opponent thanks to their ability to Special Summon themselves from the Graveyard during your Standby Phase.

Activate Disciple of Nephthys's effect by destroying Yubel to then add Cerulean Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys or Devotee of Nephthys from your Deck to your hand. Yubel’s effect will Since you didn’t use Fire King Island to Summon Yubel - Terror Incarnate, it will be difficult for your opponent to get rid of it.

If you destroy another copy of Disciple of Nephthys to activate its effect, it will allow you to add Rebirth of Nephthys from your Deck to your hand during your next Standby Phase. If you destroy Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys, it will Special Summon itself from the Graveyard during your next Standby Phase, destroying all Spell and Trap Cards on the field.

If you didn’t start with Disciple of Nephthys, you can still Ritual Summon Devotee of Nephthys, Special Summon Disciple from your Deck and then activate its effect by destroying Yubel to Summon Yubel - Terror Incarnate.

If Yubel - Terror Incarnate is already on the field, you can use Devotee to Special Summon Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys from your Deck and start to continuously wipe out your opponent’s monsters and back row. Not every deck is able to respond to the combination of Yubel - Terror Incarnate and Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys.

You can add Cerulean Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys to your hand with Disciple of Nephthys or with Card of the Soul, if you want to save your Normal Summon for Sonic Bird. If you Tribute Cerulean Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys or Devotee of Nephthys with Rebirth of Nephthys, you will get to destroy a card on the field. Note that the destruction effect of Rebirth of Nephthys does not target.

Once per turn, Cerulean Sacred Phoenix allows you to destroy any number of “Nephthys” cards in your hand and/or face-up on your side of the field to destroy an equal amount of monsters your opponent controls. You can destroy a face-up Attack Position Disciple of Nephthys to activate this effect while also getting rid of a liability.

If it was destroyed by battle or card effect (Yubel - Terror Incarnate), Cerulean Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys will Special Summon itself from the Graveyard during your next Standby Phase (if it was properly Summoned before).

My Name is Yubel notably increases the consistency of the deck: thanks to this Skill, you are essentially running 5 copies of Yubel instead of 3 and 2 cards that are completely useless when you draw them.

• The deck can struggle with consistency, but it’s generally able to get to its main combo.
• Yubel - Terror Incarnate’s floating effect can miss the timing if the card is destroyed as Chain Link 2 or higher.
• Koa'ki Meiru Ice can destroy Terror Incarnate and then Ultimate Nightmare, leaving you completely open to an OTK since the deck doesn’t have much space left for backrow.
