Tips

Simorgh, Bird of Ancestry

Because of his effect Simorgh, Bird of Ancestry is treated as a Normal monster while in your hand, making him the only monster capable of utilizing the effect of Wind Effigy. And they synergize quite well because with a WIND monster as the only tribute Simorgh, Bird of Ancestry's removal effect will trigger.

Why don’t they just extend this effect to Harpies’ Pet Dragon? In the TCG or this game lol

Because Harpie's Pet Dragon is an Effect monster that has an actual effect?

(Cyber Harpie Lady on the other hand, totally should have been changed into a vanilla, considering the name thing isn't treated as an effect, meaning they could have done it like Summoned Skull is now)

I wonder why they never printed any Level 7 or higher WIND Normal monsters even after being clearly fully aware that they had to slap that weird effect on Simorgh Bird of Ancestry just to make this card usable.....

trivia, the only card in the entire ygo that can make use of this card is Simorgh ancestry

That used to be the case. (In fact, Wind Effigy was released BEFORE Simorgh, so its effect was completely unusable at the time.)

It's technically possible for any WIND Normal Monster to utilize its effect now, though, thanks to Level Conversion Lab in conjunction with Number 67: Pair-a-Dice Smasher.

1. Level Conversion Lab makes a monster can be summoned using just 1 or no tribute. Wind Effigy's effect is irrelevant here.

2. The effect of No. 67 Paradicesmasher negate monster effects, what that has to do with Wind Effigy and WIND Normal monsters?

Currently the only normal WIND monster available in the game is Thousand Dragon...

Thousand Dragon is not a Normal monster, it's a non-effect Fusion monster.

Also, leaked news states this card will come out in DL along with "Simorgh, Bird of Ancestry", the only card in the entire YGO franchise that can be used with Wind Effigy.
