Note that your monsters are also destroyed when they inflict battle damage to your opponent's Life Points.

Pros

Able to destroy your opponent's monsters easily if you are playing a LP gain/stalling deck.

Cons

Offers no other utility besides punishing your opponent from attacking directly.

Tips

For farming, this card is necessary in a Destiny Draw deck as it is able to suppress the LDs damage per turn. This card will destroy their monsters as long as you gain heaps of LP per turn to make up for the damage that you take.

There are quite a few groups of cards that tell a story when put in the right order.

Like the Destruction Sword archetype, Warrior Dai Grepher and the relationship between Gagagigo, Marauding Captain, Freed the Matchless General (the monster you mentioned) and Invader of Darkness.

Activates regardless of Mirage Dragon..

Literally, Mirage Dragon : 'Your opponent cannot activate trap cards during the battle phase.'

Des Counterblow.... Activates during the battle phase anyway.

mirage dragon doesn't allow you to activate trap cards but it doesn't negate the effects of already activated trap cards
there is a big difference between activation and effect
