IIINC | Switcheroo | Aug 6 |
A comment from IIINC:
Due to Desperado Dragon, you may need to attack directly with your Leng Ling-equipped Cyberdark Edge and hold back on attacking the face-down monster with your Elemental Hero Brave Neos. You need to be at least aware that face-down dark machine monsters flipping up can trigger Desperado Dragon from the hand (ie. Dekoichi).

tcmylmz | Master of Destiny | Aug 25 |
A comment from tcmylmz:
Most people uses hybrid version with neos fusion. But i prefer this version because this is more versatile. If you don't have Desperado Barrel Dragon in your opening hand. You can use Cup of ace or flip summoning Dekoichi. Don't forget how Master of Destiny works. In mirror match if your opponent activates Desperado Barrel Dragon's destroying effect, you can use World Legacy Clash for protection your monster cards.
Also in this situation if you control 1 monster cards and use World Legacy Clash, your opponent "must" destroy own monster cards. It's so useful and funny. Twin Barrel Dragon can destroy your opponent's set spell/trap card or even set monsters. Blast spider can destroy face up cards (monster or face up spell cards like annoying asymmetaphys, Six Samurai United, Shien's Dojo, Neo Space).
Arcana Force 14 is for damage protection but not for protection your cards. When your Desperado Barrel Dragon is destroyed battle or card effect, you can draw one card which have flipping coin effect like Time Wizard, Arcana Force 14, Twin Barrel Dragon.

pasq | My Name is Yubel | Aug 20 |
A comment from pasq:
This is the first time I reach the King of Games. This Yubel Nephthys deck is incredibly strong and consistent. From platinum 2 to kog with 59 victories. From Legend to KOG I lost only 1. Many decks have only 1 or 2 cards to deal with Terror Incarnate and many player don't know how to play properly against it.
Previously I was playing with Treacherous Trap Hole then switched to Arcana Force Temperance, that is the MVP of the deck. Optimal protection from OTK and it doesn't get destroyed by your own red Nephthys. It can be also used to ritual summon blue Nephtys in addition to any other monster in this deck.
In my opinion, Temperance is also better than Sphere Kuriboh in this deck, and it is F2p. Very cheap and strong deck built with about 6000 gems and 1 UR dream ticket that I spent long time ago on red Nephthys (at that time I was not aware of how much it was rare and useful!). Favorable match-up vs Ancient gear, blue eyes, red eyes, Triamids if you quickly summon the red Nephthys, good vs desperado.
If you play wisely (mostly around Dual Wield) and have a good trigger for the situation you can defeat easily also six samurai. Bad match-up vs Subterror and horrible match-up vs Vendread if they ritual summons a monster with revenants. Your worse enemy is bricking, but with 7 Yubels and 8 triggers, it doesn't happen frequently, about 7-8 times out of 10 you are able to summon Terror Incarnate on your first turn. Playing this deck is more difficult than it seems.

Silent Queen | Light and Dark | Aug 21 |
A comment from Silent Queen:
This is my own take on Silent Swordsman deck with Destiny Hero supports. Similar to Anki deck but I find Mask Change often dead when Silent Swordsman Lv7 is on the field and most of the time, you need Silent Swordsman more than you need Destiny Hero monsters.
This deck works PERFECTLY against the newly added Vendreads because it COMPLETELY SHUTS DOWN their ritual spells and field spells. Forcing them to surrender 99% of the time (this is how I get to KOG this month (too many Vendreads)).
The key for this deck is to summon Silent Swordsman as fast as you can with Silent Sword Slash and/or Ultimate Providence set (the latter is situational) and be mindful of what deck you’re up against (if you face Six Samurai, do not set Xing Zhen Hu for example).

MuscleSamSix | Beatdown | Aug 1 |
A comment from MuscleSamSix:
The aim of this deck is to get Six Sam - Shi En on the field in the first or second turn and get the next Shi En on the turn after that (Sometimes even the same turn) and Use the Duelist Skill "Beatdown". The way to do this is to summon Six Sam - Fuma and then Special Summon either Kizan or Legendary Secret of the Six Samurai.
If you don't have Six Sam - Fuma in your hand, play Shien Dojo and summon any Six Sam in the Deck and put a counter on Shien Dojo and Special Summon Fuma. Sometimes you need a specific six sam in the deck to win the match, keep in mind when Six Sam Fuma is destroyed you can special summon a Six Sam in your deck, special summon Secret Six Sam - Kizaru and when that card is SP you can add any Six Sam to your hand.
Six Sam Enishi is super important, this card is used to send mainly +3000 ATK monsters, Over Powered Fusions or Synchro's., Also a quick way to defend against all monsters. The best part is once you have summoned a Six Sam - Shi En you have 2 cards in the grave which means you can use Six Sam - Enishi's effect.
The cards "Six Style - Dual Wield" & "World Legacy Clash" is in the deck to protect your Six Sam - Shi En (including Six Sam - Fuma's graveyard effect).
Sakuretsu Armor is in the deck to defend against "Yubel" Decks.
The Deck Is Fun to Play. Enjoy!!!!!

Flux | The Tie that Binds | Aug 18 |
A comment from Flux:
Six samurai are still good. You just need to know when to be aggressive and when passive. Saber Wayne is an underrated and amazing card when the situation is right to use it, sometimes its better to summon him instead of Shi En. That fire LVL 6 synchro, called Flamvell Uruquizas helped me against blue eyes because of piercing damage.
Summon shi en, then Flamvell and another monster uses the tie that binds and you are good to go. Although samurai aren't as good because people learned how to counter them, they are still great. So be smart, do not rush, if there is an OTK potential go for it. Also, you can play mind games by setting some cards so that you can trick your opponents into thinking that you set up a dual wield. People sometimes even surrendered because of that. Big brain plays=ez profit Enjoy!

A comment from creaky_dino:
Small notes: Play patiently, if opponents play a powerfull monster like "Legendary Barrel Dragon", special summon "Mist Wurm". "Miror Force" could help while you don't have a monster at all and "Power of Guardian" to power up your Syncro monster.

I switched SB Crescent with trap Xing Zhen Hu because sometimes I faced Subterror with Odion version with many traps, and it help when I faced 6 sam too, when they brick with 1 monster and set full back row, you can lock their back row.

I played with spellbooks this season to counter six sam, neos decks and the new vendread, fate is the best card and the silent magician is the MVP of the deck

A comment from DrHeisenberg:
This season Spellbook proved to be very competitive. The skill Light and Dark makes this Deck very consistent. Thus, I put three Breaker the Magical Warrior as well as three Silent Magician. The remaining cards are pretty standard.
