because it gives you the spell / trap (monster RR or call of archfiends and throws the monsters to the grave)
it's basically a better needlebug nest and it's a fiend (fodder for call of archfiend)

This one might even work well in Masked heroes, sinds the only reason you don't wanna excavate is because of the chance you might excavate a Mask Change

yup yami used it against rafael in season 4 also as kuribabylon using the kuriboh brothers (using five star twilight spell card)
