Have you considered the fact that it said cards and not monsters? In total there are 7 card slots on each side of the field. Field zone, Spell/Trap zone and the Monster zone. Thus the enemy could have no monsters but have three traps/spells on the field and that would work.

Considering it does indeed check specifically for monsters, no, I did not consider that.

That being said, editing stuff like this is obviously not necessary. And would create a ton of issues if we did get a "Master Duel" mode or something down the line.

could this work with hazy flame long as they have hazy flame in their name?

The only ones that can put this to real use are the Harpies. Until we get the Cybers.
