With the Sphere Kuribohs and Cosmic Cyclones, you can get some control over your LP. If you get below 1000, you can use Utopia Ray's effect to have a 4000 ATK monster. It also reduces your opponent's monster ATK by 1000, which means that if your opponent has a 3000 ATK monster or lower, you can OTK them right away.

2 Level 4 monsters When any player's monster declares an attack: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the attack. When this card is targeted for an attack, while it has no Xyz Materials: Destroy this card.

The Utopia in your Extra Deck is there to more easily make Utopia Ray.

Stellarknight Delteros	LIGHT Warrior ★4 ATK 2500 / DEF 2100
	Shining Hope [UR]
3 Level 4 monsters While this card has Xyz Material, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects when you Normal or Special Summon a monster(s). Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 card on the field; destroy it. If this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 "tellarknight" monster from your hand or Deck.

With the Star Seraphs, this is one of 3 options that you can Xyz into that requires 3 monsters. Delteros is arguably better since its summon can't be negated or Floodgate Trap Hole and it has a card removal effect.

The floating effect won't be usable here since there is no other "tellarknight" in the deck. But if you want, you can simply put 1 Satellarknight Altair in the deck so that Delteros can float into it when destroyed, which will end up special summoning Delteros back from the grave. It will have no materials, but at least it can be good to have a body on the field for blocking attacks.

3 Level 4 monstersOnce per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then activate 1 of these effects. Each effect can only be used once while this card is face-up on the field. ● Target 1 card your opponent controls; return that target to the hand. ● Send 1 random card from your opponent's hand to the Graveyard. ● Target 1 card in your opponent's Graveyard; banish that target.

The other option for rank 4 with 3 materials using the Star Seraphs is Ouroboros. It has 3 separate effects, but each effect can only be used once.

Compared to Delteros, Ouroboros is better if you summon it in turn 1 so you can make your opponent discard 1 card. But its card removal effect can only be used once. Though, both Ouroboros and Delteros will unlikely surive that long for it to matter much.

	Infinite Ray [SR]
3 Level 4 monsters Once per turn, you can activate 1 of these effects. ● Detach 3 Xyz Materials from this card; destroy all other face-up monsters on the field. ● Detach 5 Xyz Materials from this card; destroy all cards your opponent controls.

Having this gives you the option to destroy monsters that are untargetable, but it's only a 1-time use.

	Shining Hope [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 "Gagaga" monster you control; it can make a second attack during each Battle Phase this turn. When another monster you control is targeted for an attack while this card is in Attack Position: You can change this card to Defense Position, and if you do, change the attack target to this card and perform damage calculation.

Summon Gagaga Samurai to deal massive damage to your opponent. If your opponent is open to a direct attack, Samurai can attack twice to deal a total of 3800 damage on his own.

Number 18: Heraldry Patriarch	LIGHT Psychic ★4 ATK 2200 / DEF 2200
	Voltage of the Metal [R]
2 Level 4 monsters Once per Chain, during either player's turn, if 2 or more monsters with the same name are on the field: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; choose 1 monster among those with the same name, and destroy all other monsters with that name. While this card remains face-up on the field, your opponent cannot Summon monsters with the same name as any of the monster(s) chosen for this card's effect. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can send 2 "Heraldic Beast" monsters from your Deck to the Graveyard.

Heraldry Patriarch is basically an anti-Harpie tech. Harpies all change their name to "Harpie Lady" so Heraldry Patriarch's first effect can be used for removal, even during the opponent's turn. Then Heraldry Patriarch will prevent the opponent from reviving Harpies because they're all treated as "Harpie Lady" while in the Graveyard.

As we know there is 3 unavoidable requirement for BLS ritual:
1)ritual monster
2)ritual spell
3)one of the pair light/dark monster(trap immunity option = LVL1 djin + LVL7 charging gaia)

if u have all resources in ur starting hand u will end up having 1/2 cards left and cuz u focus on having 3 required stuff for ritual...I suggest we must decide about "protecting ace monster" or "eliminating the backrow" and not both of them... in this way there is better chance that other 1/2 doing that role!
In my opinion protecting come first!

You either get bls as a kicka$$ finisher with the use of chibi knights or better try a different ritual monster. Protecting a 3000 vanilla is not the best idea.

To be fair, there are 4 ritual materials, 2 ritual spells, 2 BLS related field spells, and 1 BLS related monster.
That's 9 in total.

It's your boss monster, your strategy is all about summoning the fastest way possible and you can re-summon it from GY several times, why to use more copies?

Lol. 8 boxes and 7 of them is main box. But still not top tier. Better use thunder dragon and demolisher for better protection and less expensive.

I just want to share the Black Luster Soldier deck I use which, surprisingly, works pretty nice in this full target meta and it is quite “consistent” for a ritual deck.
The main idea is to summon Black Luster Soldier using Djinn Demolisher of Rituals as one of the ritual materials and then use Yugi Muto skill “Pathway to Chaos” to transform him to a target immune Super Soldier!
The deck list:

Skill: Pathway to chaos (Yugi Muto – DSOD)

Monsters: 14
2x Black Luster Soldier
1x Gaia The Fierce Knight of Origin: Combines with the field, the Black Luster Soldier Super Soldier and can help you make easy XYZ
3x Thunder Dragon: Level 5 ritual material that works perfect with Gateway to Chaos
2x Djinn Demolisher of Ritual: The real deck “boss”
2x Sonic Bird: Searcher for ritual spell
3x Envoy of Chaos: Big killer/Finisher to combine with BLS & Gaia
1x Beginning Knight: For hard situations to deal with tough monsters

Spells: 6
3x Super Soldier Synthesis
3x Gateway of Chaos: Ritual and Gaia searcher plus works great with the discarding mechanism of the deck

Extra deck:
Some rank 4 monsters I have and usually use. Nothing special.

Gameplay:
Your ideal 1st turn is to summon BLS with Djinn and turn him to a Super Soldier. Other good opens (based on opponent) may include XYZ summon using special summoned Gaia+level 4 monster and make Steelswarm Roach (vs TD, Stardust) or Abyss Dweller (vs Blue-Eyes). Try to maximize the discarding mechanism of the field (Thunder Dragons, Gaia, Ritual Spell).
Keep in mind this is still a fun deck and not a top tier deck. It can brick and has all the negatives of ritual decks. However, in most duels just BLS can be more than enough to guarantee a sure win. Moreover, is easy to use and extremely fun. After some duels you can get used to it.
Based on my experience in Ranked Duels in this meta:
The easiest duels: Harpie, Water, Onomat
The hardest duels: BEWD, FK, TD

Well, 2 is ideal since you need it to either draw it or combine it with gaia. If you check carefully you will see that all key cards come in "5s" for balance:
Ritual spell: 2 sonic bird+3 ritual spell
Ritual monster: 2 bls+3 field
Ritual materials: 3 td+2 djinn

However, you can replace bls with manju or gishi chain.

this is maybe better example of this deck:
1)BLS*2 + gateway to chaos*3 ---> "ritual monster"
2)sonic bird*2 + super soldier synthethis*3 ---> "ritual spell"
3)BK*2 + ETK*2 , sphere kuriboh*3 + charging gaia fierce knight*1 ---> "dark/light ritual pair"
4)chaos sorcerer*1(can also trigger the twin knights effect) ---> "secondary beater"
5)treacherous traphole*1(very efective here instead of a difficult condition counter trap) ---> "wining gift"

This build is just bad. It was just a promotion for a terrible skill.
Without backrow removal 9/10 times bls will be just hit by karma cut, flood traphole, providence, balista, canadia etc etc since in this meta every deck is like 40% traps.
Imo bls works only as an otk deck. 3 cc, 2 giant trunade and skill master of rites are the only viable option. You either win or loose in 2nd turn.

well I think everyone agree about using "master of rites" skill for this build but "3 CC, 2 GT" is so much for a material consumer ritual maybe changes below will make the suggested build more ideal:

"galaxy cyclone*2" instead of "sphere kuriboh*2"
"giant turnade*1" instead of "chaos sorcerer"

and additional thing.... i was thinking about to include singers in this deck to summon the Arcanite Magician, to take advange of the spell counter from Gateway to Chaos... it's just an idea ... ...

Omg.. are you serious? This "new" version of black luster soldier deck is waaaaay worse than the old one... Please if you try to promote the new skill at least take some time to make a decent deck. This one is terrible.

Too many support cards you could use too. One thing i dislike about DL is we are limited to 20 and not the usual 40. I wish some of these cards was in the Tag Force series when they came out

Super soldier soul is a decent beater. You can make it 3000 ATK to protect your lp for a turn. Plus the GY effect helps as well. I like the card and used it often

No, it is just bad. Avoid using it at any cost.
The worst thing about BLS deck is that you cant properly use it with Yami Yugi to see the nice special summoning video... you have either to use he deck with Pegasus or Alexis due to their superior ritual skills... So sad. I believe yugi deserves a ritual skill. After all he has 2 ritual boss monsters in anime, this one and magician of black chaos...
