How to transfer/save game data

Saving your account

To save your account, you can go to the "Data Transfer Settings" from the Gear icon when you are in-game, then choose "Data Transfer with KONAMI ID". Register a new account if you don't have it yet and bind it to the account.

June 7th update

Recently, there were problems associated with making a KONAMI ID, which has now been fixed, but a new method to save your account is now added as well. You can now set up a data transfer to back up your account using Google Play Games. Simply log in to your Google Play account when you are in-game, and choose "Data Transfer Setup (Google Play Games)" in the Data Transfer Settings.

Setting up a data transfer

1. Tap a gear-shaped icon

2. Tap "Data Transfer Settings"

3. KONAMI ID or Google Play Games

You can link your game data to both a KONAMI ID, or Google Play Games. In case one of them isn't available, you can use the other to restore your data. You can link your game data to a different KONAMI ID, or Google Play Games if you accidentally used a different or wrong account, but it will replace the previous one. If you plan on transferring from using Google Play services to iTunes, make sure you use KONAMI ID instead.

3.5 KONAMI ID

If you are using KONAMI ID, login or generate first before linking your game data to it.

4. Done!

If you did everything correctly, your account is now saved so you don't have to worry about losing it if your phone is broken, a data error or if you uninstall the game. You will have to re-download all of the data files though.

Using your account on a different device

When you want to use your account on a different device, you will need to log in to your account. When you first launch the game, before you tap "INITIATE LINK!", tap the button below for "Data Transfer" and log into your account.

KONAMI ID

If you set up using a KONAMI ID, simply log in to your registered account that you linked your game data to. If you are using Google Play Services, make sure you are logged in to the right account.

Account Recovery

If you lost your account before you managed set up a data transfer, you can try recovering it from the "Contact Us" and "Submit Player Data Recovery Inquiry" from the gear icon in-game.

1. Tap a gear-shaped icon

2. Tap "Contact Us"

3. Read through the description & Tap the button

4. Submit inquiry

You will need to provide your information as accurately as possible for them to be able to identify that it is yours. Simply giving them your player ID is not enough, since anyone can look that up and is not a very reliable information. Try to remember stuff like deck names, latest card obtained of certain rarity or what device you used it on.

Next step is to wait patiently and check your email for a reply from their support team.

I've contacted them in multiple different ways too and every time I did speak to a rep. I suggest that they next update (which has already happened) Make sure to at least let ppl know to link account to konami site. They hang up or end the chat. REALLY? REALLY?! I feel like an idiot for standing up for them.

point is they didn't do it...or listen to me as one of their loyal customers....One of the first games I remember from my childhood was Castlevania III dracula's curse..I never thought that ages later I'd be getting screwed by the company that made one of my favorite childhood games.

So I did a little digging and came up with this interesting bit of information from the Terms and Conditions agreememt Konami and all other developers have with Google:

3.6 You Support Your Product. Buyers are instructed to contact the developer concerning any defects or performance issues in applications downloaded and installed from Google Play. You will be solely responsible for, and Google will have no responsibility to undertake or handle support and maintenance of your Products and any complaints about your Products. You must supply and maintain valid and accurate contact information that will be displayed in each application detail page on the Store and made available to users for customer support and legal purposes. For paid Products or in-app transactions, you must respond to customer support enquiries within three (3) working days, and within 24 hours to any support or Product concerns stated to be urgent by Google. Failure to provide adequate information or support for your Products may result in low Product ratings, less prominent product exposure, low sales, billing disputes or removal from the Store.

Well if you were serious about contacting your attourney, the excerpt I posted is probably your best starting point. I didn't lose any money myself, but hopefully this helps if anyone wants to band together and make a case if you want to go that route.

I seriously hope that 5 years comment is a joke. 5 days is more than enough time for an account recovery. They're lying to us an I want to know why.

I really hope they aren't leading me on right. They have been acting like they are going to take my previous duelist id and put it on the current one. Sounds simple af too doesn't it? There is no way I will stand for that or stand up for them(Konami customer support) if that's really the case.

I'm sorry but I'm tired of people trying to make light of this absolute display of unprofessional-ism. NOTHING ABOUT THIS IS OK. It's πŸ”₯ and I'm about to start getting more assertive with this so called "customer support team." More like customer inconvenience team. Furthermore people that stand up for this kind of this tyranny spare us. It's all bull$#%# and nobody cares about your opinion especially when it doesn't mean πŸ”₯ and it's wrong.

Konami duel links customer support is god awful and I'm sure they will lose a lot more people because of this. Kind of hope they do honestly. Anyone that's coming on here to see if they can get their account back just give up. Unless you spent money, it's not worth it. The "team" that handles duel links doesn't give a πŸ”₯ that you want your account back. They actually avoid any conversation with you at all. Especially when you ask why is it going to take this long? It's πŸ”₯. Hope someone does find a way to sue.

My heart goes out to all of you guys in the same situation as I. It's tough dealing with Konami support. And I honestly feel that it's getting worse. Now Konami is quoting players 6 weeks to restore accounts. My advice to you all is if you're willing to wait, then go for it. Personally, im only willing to wait another week tops. I feel that this is an issue that SHOULD be fixed within a couple days. It has been over a week now for me. Kinda sad because we're missing out on in game events and such but im hoping that everything will turn out okay. I have given KONAMI (2) different receipt screenshots so far.

I feel sorry too about all this and the money I spent. I sent them like 30 emails because they would not answer to me, and at the end they replied that the recovery will take about 4 months. Personally, I quit.

Guys I sent them 3 purchase receipts from google store as they asked and they told me that the issue will be handled by the responsible department. A couple days later they blame me that the receipts were fake!!!! Is this a new way to deceive you and get your money?? I had spent like 60€, not as much as others but still...
