Dark Magician decks have a balance of monster, Spell, Traps which Mystrick Hulder can cycle through. Being a DARK Spellcaster Mystrick Hulder can also benefit from some of the support.
When destroyed by battle and sent to graveyard, Mystic Tomato is able to Special Summon Mystrick Hulder from your deck. Dark Magic Veil Special Summons a DARK Spellcaster from your hand or graveyard. If you take 1400 or more damage, Dark Horizon can Special Summon Mystrick Hulder from your deck.
