Monster Zone Lock

Ojama Knight

You can possibly lock your opponent's monster zone if he/she has no tribute monsters. Use Floodgate Trap Hole when your opponent Summons a Monster. Then disable the 2 remaining zones by using Ojama Knight's effect. You can then wait to get the cards that you needed or burn your opponent.

Rulings

The text "monster(s)" on Floodgate Trap Hole means that it can affect multiple cards. See these screenshots below for example.

The opponent used The Flute of Summoning Dragon to Special Summon 2 Blue-Eyes White Dragon on the field. Then the Floodgate Trap Hole prompt pops up.

Floodgate Trap Hole is Activated.

Both of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon has been switched to face-down defense position.

This card is bugged. Opponent summoned Van Dalgyon Dragon lord and I already had FGTH set (2 turns prior) and wasn't able to activate it upon Dragonlord being summoned. ''When a card is summoned'' my @ss -_-

When the card effect says "when"the summoning must me the last thing to happen When Van Dalgyon is summon he activates his effect so floodgate misses timeing.

Just now I use Van Dalgyon effect to special summon and opponent able to flip my van dalgyon face down, so no misses timing over here. FGTH chain to Van Dalgyon effect and after resolve it flip Van Dalgyon face down and then opponent took 1500 damage.

Thats because he used it before it chained. FGTH cannot chain into a link 3. If 2 is already prevalent, it does not work, as the summon must be the last thing to resolve. Its not bugged, it just works weird in a chain.

Remember that floodgate doesn't cancel effects. Let's say Pheonix revive and uses it effect to destroy spell/traps. If you use floodgate, Pheonix will flip, but all spells/traps will still be destroyed

I got five URs in 30 packs, none of which were this card. I even got arcana knight, which I will never use. I feel your pain man.

🔥? You must be a casual or not accepting of the meta. New staples every few packs is actually kind of important. It sets the packs apart, and keeps the game fresh.

So if the opponent attacks my card that's flipped face down by the effect of this card - does it flip face up as usual as a consequence of the attack? And can I switch the card to attack mode after the attack, provided that it flips and survives the attack?

Well it was flipped face down, so the effects of having 4200 atk/def was gone so it would originally go back to its original atk/def.

This card is ridiculous, stops red-eyes, toons, paladín, Horus, silent magician,... only thing idk if it be chained after the Phoenix review.. anyone know?

It can't because it's "when", Phoenix revive ends with its effect, not summoning so FGT can't active after that.

Read it carefully bro,you will know everything after reading it.
By the way it will not activate it's affect cause it's not summon on that turn it's coming from the grave and same with the red eyes,don't bother about it cause you have CV,and toons,toons are unaffected by card effects my boo

Idiot. It can stop Toons, since FGT will be asked to be chained when a Toon monster is summoned regardless of whether Toon Kingdom is there or not. I tested it out many times.

I recommend dawn of destiny for newbies,because of pheonix,go for it its useless for them to buy this set cause it's a big box and you are not guaranteed the card you want,so instead blgo for dawn and just destroy rlthe meta,after that people will regret for it
