  • The free Special Summoning and level modulation effect make this card great for making Synchros. Paired with a level-2 Tuner you get access to level-7 and level-8 Synchros, which have the widest range of generic Synchro monsters.

The level changing effect could be useful for Xyz too, once we have it.

That's exactly how Haruto use this card in the Zexal manga.

Special Summon a copy with its effect, then Special Summon another copy with another card's effect, make both Primitive Butterflies Level 7, then overlay both into No. 28 Titanic Moth.
