I really wonder if you can use only one type of decks to reach KOG. I have tried everything posted here, but failed due to bad match-making or bad hand. It seems like the rng knows you are up to and try to prevent you from climbing the rank.

Caution: Very expensive deck

It was the nerf of Cyber Angels and Ninjas that allowed this deck to reach KOG.

This deck relies on tribute summoned effect monsters to search cards and destroy back row. Runs without back row protection.

1) Mecha Hamstrat x3: This is more of a "turn 1" safety net. This deck uses the Hamster to protect you for a turn/ tribute summon. If he survives he has an aditional ability that works with BeatDown skill.

2) Treeborn frog x3: Consistent tribute fodder. That combos well with E.con's activation speed.

3) BES Tetran x3: tribute monster that destroys one spell/trap each turn. Sometimes I don't even attack with him. I just keep him in attack mode and destroy back row until all his counters are gone; then I use him to tribute summon someone else.

4) Angmarl the Fiendish Monarch x3: This deck's main heavy hitter. He helps search spell cards from your deck for combos like treefrog+econ. If you weren't able to put them in defense or couldn't E.con take, 2700atk W/Beat down is enough to 🔥 most monsters.
5) sphere Kuriboh x2
6) Fenghuang x1
7) E.con x3
8) Soul Exchange x2
9) tribute to the doomed x1

Treeborn frog + E.con combo: When treefrog special summons himself onto the field, make sure you activate E.con's 2nd ability as soon as he touches the field. tribute treefrog and take one of his face up monsters. TreeFrog will special summon himself again and now you have the choice to tribute the stolen monster or tribute the frog and go for a double attack!

I hit kog for the 1st time, with my own CA(modified deck) and my proudly Hazy Fire Plant deck. Should i share my deck?

And just because it’s not on the internet doesn’t mean there isn’t people getting kog with insane decks that are so wild running cheese like plz cyber angels isn’t what’s stopping kog it’s so many randomn tilt decks that we don’t want to admit getting wrecked by an exodia deck in legend or a spell caster beat down wtf lol plz stop complaining a spit decks that are free to play that use 0 back row to do well I will not complain about these decks that are not running every pay to win trap money can buy lol

This is the first time I reach Legendary rank. At first, I thought I would try to climb to KOG (just to get the icon), but after a few games, I realized that I would not face any other decks rather than the ones posted here. So when everyone plays the same decks (with some tweaks and modification), it comes down to RNG. You might beat CA one game and lose to it in another game. Luck plays an important role from match making to your draw. I managed to climb to Legendary Rank 3, but I think it is too stressful to push myself too much. Now, I don't care about KOG and wait for the rank reset so I can enjoy various kinds of decks in Platinum.

I play the game for fun, not to be more stressed. I don't mind losing if I get to see various kinds of decks against which I enjoy dueling. Even though you said this is the most diverse season, how many times you go up against hammer shark beatdown, or psychic? All I face are GB, CA, Phoenix, Burn, AG and hazy flame. And as I stated, you may beat GB one game and lose to it in another game. RNG.

Sadly those trying to hit kog needed to use a consistent deck hence all the CA GB AG etc.. unless you stay in gold and below if you prefer play for fun instead

I always make some change in my deck. I even use variety of decks when dueling. Many times I got matched up with a deck I have no counter or my counter cards didn't want to cooperate. And when this happens and you try to push yourself too much, it's not fun at all.

I congratulate those who have strength to reach KOG, but I realize that is not for me if that glory comes with something unpleasant.

I always adjust my decks. I even play different decks (meta included), but it always come down to rng like being matched with a deck I have no counter or my counter cards didn't want to cooperate. When this happens and you push yourself too much, it is not fun at all.

I congratulate those who can reach KOG, but I realize that is not for me. I don't want glory if I have to lose my mental health.
