Number 50: Blackship of Corn | DARK Plant ★4 ATK 2100 / DEF 1500 |
Voltage of the Metal [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls with ATK less than or equal to this card's; send it to the Graveyard, and if you do, inflict 1000 damage to your opponent. This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect. |
With only 2100 ATK there isn't really much Blackship of Corn can destroy. But when you do find the opportunity to use its effect the 1000 LP burn can be quite significant, and you don't even need to risk getting hit with a battle trap.
Diamond Dire Wolf | EARTH Beast ★4 ATK 2000 / DEF 1200 |
Voltage of the Metal [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast-Type monster you control and 1 other card on the field; destroy them. |
Essentially a 2-for-1 removal, only consider Diamond Dire Wolf as a last resort option.
Gagaga Samurai | EARTH Warrior ★4 ATK 1900 / DEF 1600 |
Shining Hope [SR] | |
2 Level 4 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 "Gagaga" monster you control; it can make a second attack during each Battle Phase this turn. When another monster you control is targeted for an attack while this card is in Attack Position: You can change this card to Defense Position, and if you do, change the attack target to this card and perform damage calculation. |
Summon Samurai to deal massive direct damage with his double attack effect.

How to use :
Of course it's a deck to use late in the month if you want to kog with it easily...
The idea was to create some kind of a no brainy stall / otk deck that goes FAST, for when you don't have time to kog.
Knowing the opponents don't really understand they can attack the castle when you activate Smile World from my last road to kog, and knowing that my opponents would not be that strong (being the 21st of the month), I decided to build that deck to optimise 2 strategies
1 : stall strats :
2 : OTK strats :
And... Yeah, I run 21 cards. But the xyz build and the amano + castle strat is really not that greedy in terms of CA (worst case scenario, you use gliphe to have a castle from your deck , then do the hans / knight pair, you end up with 2 cards in deck in turn 3-4 and have 2 more turns to kill. Usually you have time to kill or be killed, but not to deck out. Remember the goal is to have a fast kog, so fast and optimized duels.

Hey everyone it’s Pochita here again with the same build as December, this version of the deck is the same as last month but with more harpie decks and lightsworn I was really debating on running the Iron Hans, Iron Knight version so that way I could Go into Roach-Patriarch to hard counter these decks but I decided that personally Wheeleder version just works a lot better in my opinion but the same strats as last month and got to eat up a lot of light Decks with ally of justice Decisive armor which was so satisfying to watch also with a lot of bouncing with brio and Hyper Psychic Riser was negating all those annoying decks, wanted to start my run after the selection box came out so sorry for being so late this month, good luck on your duels everyone!

How to use the deck :
Neos fusions are two others consistent starters to stromberg decks, cause when you put Harpist Harpy in the GY from your deck with it you can take a glife from your deck at the end phase. That's why I play one karma cut and one Dark core, they counter melodious, harpies and various rogue decks and let me discard the harpist to make it to my castle. After that I have various plays :
XYZ for counters (n18 or roache for harpies, or THD, dweller for BEWD or Burning Abyss, etc...) (I play two iron hans cause playing and having one in hand cuts you from every xyz plays ! )
Amano + smile world (with or without the castle) is a great play when you just have to deal with hard or impossible MU, like Majespecters, LS, AA, or every handtraps running decks. Gren maju is an excellent follow up in that situation, it's good to have it in hand when you play like that.
NOTE : The castle will NOT protect amano from an attack if you have activated smile world ! It's a Bluff play. But 99% fall into it XD
