The most powerful monsters are usually Special Summoned. So upon summoning Ametryx, you'll be changing the enemy boss monster to defense position. In most cases, this will allow you to attack over their weak DEF stat.
Evigishki Merrowgeist | WATER Aqua ★4 ATK 2100 / DEF 1600 |

2 Level 4 monsters After damage calculation, if this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; shuffle the destroyed monster into the Deck instead of sending it to the Graveyard. |
Merrowgeist's effect can be useful to disrupt enemy Decks that have a lot of graveyard recursion. But her low ATK makes it difficult for her to actually destroy monsters by battle unless Spider Shark is also on the field.

Skill territory of sharks is very necessary to summon abyss dweller when going first, its the best defense and offense when u detach Atlantean Infantry/Marksman. Its a very nice all round deck. Make use of different types of situations when summoning xyz/synchro.

I used forbidden Lance to make sure I get into my turn 1 combo. This card is useful not only for extending but playing around the back row. The most important thing is that if you use it on your monster and then use an effect (not in the same chain) you can dodge counter traps. This strategy helped me when a lot of Blue Eyes and Teller Knights deck.

Water Control GODS are so good with 3 fiendish chains cuz it can counter hang on machs on ur next turn since it diables their effect even if they activate lances.

Heres the water control deck i used this month to achieve kog , unlike other 3 book of moons version, 2 lances and 2 marksman are more than enough to deal with opponents backrow.
