Drytrons are ritual support monsters that can help with getting ritual spells or monsters from the deck, as well as easy special summoning conditions to be able to swarm the field for easy Xyz/link.
Mixed in the deck are Fairy-type monsters that have effects to add more cards from hand to deck. The main focus is to ritual summon Herald of Ultimateness, a ritual monster that can negate almost anything at the price of discarding a Fairy-type monster.
The main deck monsters have similar effects where they can special summon themselves from the hand or grave by tributing another "Drytron" or ritual monster from the hand or field, but they can only be special summoned in defense position.
When special summoned, their unique on-summon effects will activate:
Drytron Alpha Thuban | LIGHT Machine ★1 ATK 2000 / DEF 0 |
Master Pack [SR] Normal Pack: Stalwart Force [SR] Secret Pack: Celestial Dragon and Bear [SR]
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned with the effect of a "Drytron" card. You can Tribute 1 other "Drytron" monster, or 1 Ritual Monster, from your hand or field; Special Summon this card from your hand or GY in Defense Position, then you can add 1 Ritual Monster from your Deck to your hand. You cannot Special Summon monsters, except monsters that cannot be Normal Summoned/Set, the turn you activate this effect. You can only use this effect of "Drytron Alpha Thuban" once per turn. |
Drytron Zeta Aldhibah | LIGHT Machine ★1 ATK 2000 / DEF 0 |
Master Pack [R] Secret Pack: Celestial Dragon and Bear [R]
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned with the effect of a "Drytron" card. You can Tribute 1 other "Drytron" monster, or 1 Ritual Monster, from your hand or field; Special Summon this card from your hand or GY in Defense Position, then you can add 1 Ritual Spell from your Deck to your hand. You cannot Special Summon monsters, except monsters that cannot be Normal Summoned/Set, the turn you activate this effect. You can only use this effect of "Drytron Zeta Aldhibah" once per turn. |
Drytron Delta Altais | LIGHT Machine ★1 ATK 2000 / DEF 0 |
Master Pack [N] Secret Pack: Celestial Dragon and Bear [N]
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned with the effect of a "Drytron" card. You can Tribute 1 other "Drytron" monster, or 1 Ritual Monster, from your hand or field; Special Summon this card from your hand or GY in Defense Position, then you can reveal 1 Ritual Monster or 1 Ritual Spell in your hand, and if you do, draw 1 card. You cannot Special Summon monsters, except monsters that cannot be Normal Summoned/Set, the turn you activate this effect. You can only use this effect of "Drytron Delta Altais" once per turn. |
Drytron Gamma Eltanin | LIGHT Machine ★1 ATK 2000 / DEF 0 |
Master Pack [N] Secret Pack: Celestial Dragon and Bear [N]
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned with the effect of a "Drytron" card. You can Tribute 1 other "Drytron" monster, or 1 Ritual Monster, from your hand or field; Special Summon this card from your hand or GY in Defense Position, then you can Special Summon 1 "Drytron" monster with 2000 ATK from your GY, except "Drytron Gamma Eltanin". You cannot Special Summon monsters, except monsters that cannot be Normal Summoned/Set, the turn you activate this effect. You can only use this effect of "Drytron Gamma Eltanin" once per turn. |
It's an easy way to put 2 monsters on the field. With 2 Drystrons on the field, you can go into several plays:
Drytron Mu Beta Fafnir | LIGHT Machine ★1 ATK 2000 / DEF 0 |
Master Pack [UR] Secret Pack: Celestial Dragon and Bear [UR]
2+ Level 1 monsters When you Ritual Summon, you can detach a material(s) from this card as monster(s) required for the Ritual Summon. You can only use each of the following effects of "Drytron Mu Beta Fafnir" once per turn. If this card is Xyz Summoned: You can send 1 "Drytron" card from your Deck to the GY. When your opponent activates a Spell/Trap Card, while you control a Machine Ritual Monster (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from this card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card. |
Lets you dump a Drytron from deck to the grave, which is usually going to be Gamma so you can put 2 monsters back on the field to make more plays. This also helps ritual summon Herald of Ultimateness easier.
Drytron Meteonis Draconids | LIGHT Machine ★12 ATK 4000 / DEF 4000 |
Master Pack [UR] Secret Pack: Celestial Dragon and Bear [UR]
You can Ritual Summon this card with "Meteonis Drytron". Your opponent cannot target this card with monster effects. If the total Levels of monsters used for its Ritual Summon are 2 or less, this card can attack all Special Summoned monsters your opponent controls once each. During your opponent's turn (Quick Effect): You can banish monsters from your GY whose combined ATK equals exactly 2000 or 4000, then target 1 face-up card your opponent controls for every 2000 ATK of the total; send that card(s) to the GY. You can only use this effect of "Drytron Meteonis Draconids" once per turn. |
A strong boss monster with high stats, multiple attacks, and a card removal quick effect. It's also not that difficult to summon despite its high level because of the ritual spell.
However, banishing a Drytron in the grave means losing out on their effects that you can always use each turn for search effects, and the deck has no ways to recover banished cards.
The main focus of the deck is usually to summon Herald of Ultimateness for better control over your opponent, but having this in the deck can help go on the offensive once you have the advantage.
Herald of Ultimateness | LIGHT Fairy ★12 ATK 2000 / DEF 3000 |
Master Pack [UR] Secret Pack: Miraculous Advent [UR]
You can Ritual Summon this card with "Oracle of the Herald". Must be Ritual Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. During either player's turn, when your opponent would Special Summon a monster(s), OR activates a Spell Card, Trap Card, or monster effect: You can send 1 Fairy-Type monster from your hand to the Graveyard; negate the Special Summon or activation, and if you do, destroy that card. |
Lets you negate almost everything as long as you have a Fairy-type monster in your hand. What makes this really strong is that it's not once per turn, or even once per chain. This means that if your opponent chains a card to negate HoU's effect (with something like Forbidden Chalice or Forbidden Droplet) you can negate that card as well.
Both the Drytrons and Fairy cards help with reliably getting ritual spells and monsters from the deck, but the Fairies can also add/search for more from the deck to serve as ammo for HoU's effect.
Diviner of the Herald | LIGHT Fairy ★2 ATK 500 / DEF 300 |
Master Pack [UR] Secret Pack: Miraculous Advent [UR]
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can send 1 Fairy monster from your Deck or Extra Deck to the GY, and if you do, increase this card's Level by that monster's Level, until the end of this turn. If this card is Tributed: You can Special Summon 1 Level 2 or lower Fairy monster from your hand or Deck, except "Diviner of the Herald". You can only use each effect of "Diviner of the Herald" once per turn. |
Searchable with Eva's effect when it goes to the grave, or through Benten's tributed effect. Diviner lets you dump "Herald of the Arc Light" so that you can get its search effect to get a ritual spell/monster from the deck.
Doing this will also make Diviner into level 6. Together with a Benten on the field, you can use them to Xyz summon Beatrice to dump Eva from the deck to the grave.
Alternatively, you can also use Diviner's effect to send Elder Entity Ntss from the extra deck to destroy a card your opponent controls.
Herald of Orange Light | LIGHT Fairy ★2 ATK 300 / DEF 500 |
Master Pack [R] Secret Pack: Miraculous Advent [R]
During either player's turn, when an effect of an opponent's monster is activated: You can send this card and 1 other Fairy-Type monster from your hand to the Graveyard; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. |
The other card that's searchable with Eva's effect when it's sent to the grave. Aside from a general monster negate to stop enemy plays, this can also be used to stop cards like Ash Blossom or Nibiru.
Use it if it's necessary. Otherwise, it's usually just used as an "ammo" for Herald of Ultimateness instead because it's cheaper.
Herald of the Arc Light | LIGHT Fairy ★4 ATK 600 / DEF 1000 |
Master Pack [SR] Secret Pack: Miraculous Advent [SR]
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters Any monster sent from the hand or Main Deck to the Graveyard is banished instead. During either player's turn, when a Spell Card, Trap Card or monster effect is activated: You can Tribute this card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can add 1 Ritual Monster or 1 Ritual Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. |
This is in the deck so you can send it to the grave when Diviner of the Herald is normal summoned.
Cyber Angel Benten | LIGHT Fairy ★6 ATK 1800 / DEF 1500 |
Master Pack [SR] Secret Pack: Souls of Sublime Gods [SR]
You can Ritual Summon this card with "Machine Angel Ritual". If this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's original DEF in the Graveyard. If this card is Tributed: You can add 1 LIGHT Fairy-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. |
Searcher for any LIGHT Fairy-type monster when it's tributed that's also not restricted to once per turn. You can tribute it away by using any of the main deck Drytrons to help get ritual spells/monsters. Also a decent monster to summon if you have Diviner on the field so you can Xyz into Beatrice to dump Eva from deck.
This is the card that's usually searched for first (with something like Alpha Thuban or Herald of the Arc Light's effect) instead of directly searching for Herald of Ultimateness. It's so that you can get a search effect as part of the combo instead of losing a card if you just search for HoU to be tributed for a Drytron.
You can tribute Benten to search for another Benten as long as you still have another Drytron that you can special summon.
Eva | LIGHT Fairy ★1 ATK 500 / DEF 200 |
Master Pack [SR] | |
If this card is sent to the GY: You can banish up to 2 other LIGHT Fairy monsters from your field and/or GY; add the same number of Level 2 or lower LIGHT Fairy monsters with different names from your Deck to your hand, except "Eva". You can only use this effect of "Eva" once per turn. |
Helps you search for Orange Light and/or Diviner when it gets sent to the grave, which you can easily do through so many ways (Orange Light, Beatrice, Union Carrier, HoU). This ends up giving you more cards to discard for HoU's effect.
Drytron Fafnir | Field Spell |
Master Pack [R] Secret Pack: Celestial Dragon and Bear [R]
When this card is activated: You can add 1 "Drytron" Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand, except "Drytron Fafnir". The activation and the activated effects of Ritual Spell Cards cannot be negated. Once per turn, if a monster is Normal or Special Summoned face-up while you control a "Drytron" monster (except during the Damage Step): You can reduce that monster's Level by 1 per 1000 of its current ATK (min. Level 1) for the rest of this turn. You can only activate 1 "Drytron Fafnir" per turn. |
Essentially just a searcher for Meteonis or Nova, but since Meteonis is searchable with Drytron Zeta or Herald of the Arc Light, this is often used to search for Nova instead.
Meteonis Drytron | Ritual Spell |
Master Pack [UR] Secret Pack: Celestial Dragon and Bear [UR]
This card can be used to Ritual Summon any Ritual Monster from your hand or GY. You must also Tribute Machine monsters from your hand or field whose total ATK equal or exceed the ATK of the Ritual Monster you Ritual Summon. If this card is in your GY: You can target 1 "Drytron" monster you control; it loses exactly 1000 ATK until the end of your opponent's turn, and if it does, add this card to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Meteonis Drytron" once per turn. |
The ritual spell for all of the ritual monsters in the deck and it's searchable with Drytron Zeta, Herald of Arc Light, and Drytron Fafnir.
It's a very strong and unique ritual spell since it makes ritual summoning very easy plus a really good self-recovery effect. You'll be able to use this at least twice per turn and still reliably get this back to your hand later on, which is also why it's fine to only run 1 or 2 copies of this in the deck.
Drytron Nova | Normal Spell |
Master Pack [R] Normal Pack: Stalwart Force [R] Secret Pack: Celestial Dragon and Bear [R]
Special Summon 1 "Drytron" monster from your Deck, but destroy it during the End Phase. You can only activate 1 "Drytron Nova" per turn. You cannot Special Summon monsters, except monsters that cannot be Normal Summoned/Set, the turn you activate this card. |
A simple special summon from the deck to help get a specific Drytron that you need from the deck. This won't activate their on-summon effect, but if you have a Drytron in hand, you can tribute the newly special summoned Drytron, then use it in the grave by tributing the one on the field.
If you can already get a ritual spell/monster without needing to use this, you can use Nova to special summon Drytron Gamma. This can be an easy way to put 2 monsters on the field so you can Xyz into Mu Beta Fafnir for combo plays, or the Lyrilusc Xyz if you want to go to Zeus.
Preparation of Rites | Ritual Spell |
Master Pack [SR] Secret Pack: Miraculous Advent [SR]
Add 1 Level 7 or lower Ritual Monster from your Deck to your hand, then you can add 1 Ritual Spell Card from your Graveyard to the hand. |
Basically just a searcher for Benten. Adding back a ritual spell card is only useful if you've already used Meteonis' self-recovery effect and still need to ritual summon again, but the deck doesn't really need to spam ritual summons like this.
Cyber Emergency | Normal Spell |
Master Pack [SR] Secret Pack: Pearlescent Cyber Dragons [SR]
Add 1 LIGHT Machine monster that cannot be Normal Summoned/Set, or 1 "Cyber Dragon" monster, from your Deck to your hand. If the activation of this card in its owner's possession was negated by your opponent's card effect and sent to your GY: You can discard 1 card; add this card to your hand. You can only activate 1 "Cyber Emergency" per turn. |
A searcher for any of the main deck Drytron monsters. Together with Nova, the deck already has 6 searchers to help get a specific Drytron from the deck.
Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring | FIRE Zombie ★3 ATK 0 / DEF 1800 |
Master Pack [UR] | |
When a card or effect is activated that includes any of these effects (Quick Effect): You can discard this card; negate that effect. ● Add a card from the Deck to the hand. ● Special Summon from the Deck. ● Send a card from the Deck to the GY. You can only use this effect of "Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring" once per turn. |
Maxx C | EARTH Insect ★2 ATK 500 / DEF 200 |
Master Pack [UR] | |
During either player's turn: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; this turn, each time your opponent Special Summons a monster(s), immediately draw 1 card. You can only use 1 "Maxx "C"" per turn. |
Called by the Grave | Quick Spell |
Master Pack [UR] | |
Target 1 monster in your opponent's GY; banish it, and if you do, until the end of the next turn, its effects are negated, as well as the activated effects and effects on the field of monsters with the same original name. |
Forbidden Droplet | Quick Spell |
Master Pack [UR] | |
Send any number of other cards from your hand and/or field to the GY; choose that many Effect Monsters your opponent controls, and until the end of this turn, their ATK is halved, also their effects are negated. In response to this card's activation, your opponent cannot activate cards, or the effects of cards, with the same original type (Monster/Spell/Trap) as the cards sent to the GY to activate this card. You can only activate 1 "Forbidden Droplet" per turn. |
Elder Entity Ntss | LIGHT Fairy ★4 ATK 2500 / DEF 1200 |
Master Pack [UR] Secret Pack: World Cloaked in Magical Power [UR]
1 Synchro Monster + 1 Xyz Monster Must be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by sending the above cards you control to the Graveyard, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. (You do not use "Polymerization".) Once per turn: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 monster from your hand. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 card on the field; destroy it. You can only Special Summon "Elder Entity N'tss(s)" once per turn. |
This is in the deck so that it can be sent to the grave with Diviner of the Herald, giving it a simple card removal effect when it's normal summoned.
Union Carrier | LIGHT ATK 1000 / LINK 2 |
Master Pack [UR] Secret Pack: Emblazoned Armor [UR]
2 monsters with the same Type or Attribute Cannot be used as Link Material the turn it is Link Summoned. You can target 1 face-up monster you control; equip 1 monster to it from your hand or Deck with its same original Type or Attribute. The equipped monster gains 1000 ATK. If you equipped it from the Deck, you cannot Special Summon monsters with that Equip Card's name for the rest of this turn. You can only use this effect of "Union Carrier" once per turn. |
With any 2 Drytrons, you can link away to make this so that you can equip Eva from the deck. Union Carrier will then become 2000 ATK, which will make it enough to be a 1 card ritual fodder for HoU or Benten because of Meteonis' effect. Sending it to the grave like this will send the Eva to the grave to get the search effect.
Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal | LIGHT Fairy ★6 ATK 2500 / DEF 2800 |
Fiendish Encounter [UR] Master Pack [UR]
2 Level 6 monsters / You can also Xyz Summon this card by sending 1 "Burning Abyss" monster from your hand to the Graveyard, then using 1 "Dante" monster you control as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) If Summoned this way, the following effect cannot be activated this turn. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; send 1 card from your Deck to the Graveyard. If this card in your possession is destroyed by your opponent's card (by battle or card effect) and sent to your Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 "Burning Abyss" monster from your Extra Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions. |
Summoned by using Diviner with Benten so you can send Eva from the deck to the grave.
Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale | WIND Winged Beast ★1 ATK 0 / DEF 0 |
Moonlit Avian Dance [SR] Master Pack [SR]
2 or more Level 1 monsters This card gains 200 ATK for each Xyz Material attached to it. This card can attack directly. While this card has Xyz Material, it can attack a number of times each Battle Phase, up to the number of Xyz Materials attached to it. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; until the end of this turn, "Lyrilusc" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects, also you take no battle damage. |
If you plan on summoning Zeus, you can use the Drytrons to summon this so you can attack directly.
Downerd Magician | DARK Spellcaster ★4 ATK 2100 / DEF 200 |
Master Pack [SR] | |
2 Level 4 Spellcaster-Type monsters During your Main Phase 2, you can also Xyz Summon this card by using a Rank 3 or lower Xyz Monster you control as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) This card gains 200 ATK for each Xyz Material attached to it. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. If this card attacked or was attacked, after damage calculation: Detach 1 Xyz Material from this card. |
After attacking with Assembled Nightingale, Xyz summon into this to add 1 more material before going into Zeus so you can activate Zeus' effect twice.
Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder | LIGHT Machine ★12 ATK 3000 / DEF 3000 |
Master Pack [UR] | |
2 Level 12 monsters Once per turn, if an Xyz Monster battled this turn, you can also Xyz Summon "Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder" by using 1 Xyz Monster you control as material. (Transfer its materials to this card.) (Quick Effect): You can detach 2 materials from this card; send all other cards from the field to the GY. Once per turn, if another card(s) you control is destroyed by battle or an opponent's card effect: You can attach 1 card from your hand, Deck, or Extra Deck to this card as material. |
Summonable after you attack with Assembled Nightingale. It's a strong boss monster that can wipe your opponent's board clean, and it can be used twice because there are 4 Xyz materials on this if you used Downerd Magician.
Linkuriboh | DARK Cyberse ATK 300 / LINK 1 |
Master Pack [UR] Selection Pack: Revival of Legends [UR]
1 Level 1 Monster When an opponent's monster declares an attack: You can Tribute this card; change that opponent's monster's ATK to 0, until the end of this turn. If this card is in your GY (Quick Effect): You can Tribute 1 Level 1 monster; Special Summon this card. You can only use this effect of "Linkuriboh" once per turn. |
Easy to summon monster that can also block an attack. You can bring this out whenever you have an extra Drytron on the field.
Accesscode Talker | DARK Cyberse ATK 2300 / DEF 4 |
Master Pack [UR] Secret Pack: Soldiers from the Storm [UR]
2+ Effect Monsters Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to this card's effect activations. If this card is Link Summoned: You can target 1 Link Monster that was used as material for its Link Summon; this card gains ATK equal to that monster's Link Rating x 1000. You can banish 1 Link Monster from your field or GY; destroy 1 card your opponent controls, also for the rest of this turn, you cannot banish monsters with that same Attribute to activate this effect of "Accesscode Talker". |
Can reach high ATK to help OTK and has a card removal effect.
I:P Masquerena | DARK Cyberse ATK 800 / LINK 2 |
Master Pack [UR] Secret Pack: Space-Time Transcendents [UR]
2 non-Link Monsters During your opponent's Main Phase, you can (Quick Effect): Immediately after this effect resolves, Link Summon 1 Link Monster using materials you control, including this card. You can only use this effect of "I:P Masquerena" once per turn. A Link Monster that used this card as material cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects. |
So that you can link summon Knightmare Phoenix/Unicorn during your opponent's turn as a form of disruption.
Both of them needs to discard a card on summon, but the deck has so many cards that are fine to be discarded since they can be used in the grave.
Knightmare Phoenix | FIRE Fiend ATK 1900 / LINK 2 |
Master Pack [SR] Secret Pack: Cosmic Mechanical Entities [SR]
2 monsters with different names If this card is Link Summoned: You can discard 1 card, then target 1 Spell/Trap your opponent controls; destroy it, then, if this card was co-linked when this effect was activated, you can draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Knightmare Phoenix" once per turn. Co-linked monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle. |
Knightmare Unicorn | DARK Fiend ATK 2200 / LINK 3 |
Master Pack [UR] Secret Pack: Cosmic Mechanical Entities [UR]
2+ monsters with different names If this card is Link Summoned: You can discard 1 card, then target 1 card on the field; shuffle it into the Deck, then, if this card was co-linked when this effect was activated, you can draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Knightmare Unicorn" once per turn. While any co-linked "Knightmare" monsters are on the field, for your normal draw in your Draw Phase, draw 1 card for each different card name among those co-linked "Knightmare" monsters, instead of drawing just 1 card. |
