Predaplant Chlamydosundew | DARK Plant ★2 ATK 600 / DEF 200 |
Witchs Sorcery [R] | |
Monsters with a Predator Counter that you use as Fusion Materials are treated as DARK. During your Main Phase: You can Fusion Summon 1 DARK Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using this card on the field and monsters from your hand, field, and/or monsters with a Predator Counter your opponent controls as Fusion Materials. You can only use this effect of "Predaplant Chlamydosundew" once per turn. |
To make Chimerafflesia all you need to do is Normal Summon Chlamydosundew and pair him with a DARK monster in your hand. Because of how easy and generic this combo is, both of them are frequently mixed into other DARK decks as the Predaplant Fusion Engine. This combo is also a good way to get monsters in your graveyard, so the best monsters to pair with Chlamydosundew are Lunalight Crimson Fox or Cordyceps.
Predaplant Chimerafflesia | DARK Plant ★7 ATK 2500 / DEF 2000 |
Witchs Sorcery [UR] | |
1 "Predaplant" monster + 1 DARK monster Once per turn: You can target 1 monster on the field with a Level less than or equal to this card's; banish it. When an attack is declared involving this card and an opponent's face-up monster: You can activate this effect; until the end of this turn, that opponent's monster loses 1000 ATK, and if it does, this card gains 1000 ATK. Once per turn, during the next Standby Phase after this card was sent to the Graveyard: You can add 1 "Polymerization" Spell Card or "Fusion" Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. |
The free banishing effect is quite powerful, letting you get rid of any monsters that is level-7 or lower. This does not destroy which bypasses protection effects like Archfiend Zombie-Skull. And the banishing will prevent most floating effects and also prevent the banished monster from using their graveyard effect. This removal effect is made even more powerful in its home archetype, because of your ability to spread Predator counters. The Predator counter reduces the monster's level to 1, letting Chimerafflesia banish any monster you want.
The second effect makes Chimerafflesia practically unbeatable in battle, unless your opponent has a monster higher than 4500 ATK. Also watch out for monster effect negation like Witchcrafter Madame Verre, because Chimerafflesia's 2500 base ATK is not that good.
To top it off, Chimerafflesia can search Neos Fusion when he is sent to the graveyard. This lets you make Brave Neos to fall back on when Chimerafflesia is removed by your opponent.
Predapractice | Normal Spell |
Witchs Sorcery [SR] | |
Special Summon 1 "Predaplant" monster from your hand, then add 1 "Predap" card from your Deck to your hand, except "Predapractice", also for the rest of this turn after this card resolves, you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except Fusion Monsters. You can only activate 1 "Predapractice" per turn. |
Predapractice should lead to you putting Chlamydosundew and Spinodionaea on the field; Special Summon one of them, then search the other and Normal Summon it. Spinodionaea puts a Predator counter on your opponent's monster, you can then use that opponent's monster as material with Chamydosundew to make Chimerafflesia.
If your opponent controls multiple Special Summoned monsters, you can instead go with putting Chlamydosundew and Squid Drosera on the field. Chamydosundew pairs with Squid Dresrosa on your field to make Chimerafflesia. The reason we want Squid Dresrose on the field as fusion material is so we can use its Predator Counter spreading effect, this lets Chimerafflesia banish any Special Summoned monster your opponent controls.
Predaplant Cordyceps | DARK Plant ★1 ATK 0 / DEF 0 |
Witchs Sorcery [N] | |
During your Standby Phase: You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 2 Level 4 or lower "Predaplant" monsters in your Graveyard; Special Summon them, also, for the rest of this turn, you cannot Special Summon monsters, except Fusion Monsters, nor Normal Summon/Set any monsters. |
Cordyceps' graveyard effect should lead to the same board setup as Predapractice, either Chlamydosundew with Spinodionaea, or Chlamydosundew with Squid Drosera. Then proceed to make Chimerafflesia with Chlamydosundew's effect.
Sadly, Cordyceps' effect can only be used during the Standby Phase so you can't use it as a combo extender to make 2 Chimerafflesia in one turn. The summoning restriction also prevents you from summoning and using another Chlamydosundew during the Main Phase. However, you can still use Neos Fusion after using Cordyceps' effect.
Predator counters reduce the enemy monsters' level to 1, making them susceptible to Chimerafflesia or Chlamydosundew's removal. Use these Spinodionaea and Squid Drosera like in the combos mentioned above to effectively spread counters on your opponent's monsters. Additionally, Spinodionaea and Squid Drosera are also more effective when the enemy monsters have Predator counters.
Predaplant Spinodionaea | DARK Plant ★4 ATK 1800 / DEF 0 |
Witchs Sorcery [R] | |
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; place 1 Predator Counter on it, and if it is Level 2 or higher, it becomes Level 1 as long as it has a Predator Counter. After damage calculation, if this card battled a monster with an equal or lower Level: You can Special Summon 1 "Predaplant" monster from your Deck, except "Predaplant Spinodionaea". |
Spinodionaea can battle monsters with Predator counters to activate his effect, or you can battle the occasional low-leveled monster your opponent puts on the field. However this effect is not worth focusing on since the Predaplant you Special Summon is unlikely to survive till the next turn. You could use this to setup the graveyard for Cordyceps, or Special Summon Squid Drosera to spread counters. But you are better off using the Predator Counter for Chimerafflesia or Chlamydosundew's effects.
Sphere Kuriboh | DARK Fiend ★1 ATK 300 / DEF 200 |
The Ultimate Rising [UR]
When an opponent's monster declares an attack: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; change the attacking monster to Defense Position. When you Ritual Summon a monster, you can banish this card from your Graveyard as 1 of the monsters required for the Ritual Summon. |
Bacon Saver | DARK Zombie ★2 ATK 700 / DEF 600 |
Generation Next [R] | |
During either player's Battle Step, while an attack is occurring: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; negate the attack. You can only use the effect of "Bacon Saver" once per Duel. |
Keeper of Dragon Magic | DARK Dragon ★4 ATK 1800 / DEF 1300 |
Master of Chaos [SR] | |
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can discard 1 card; add 1 "Polymerization" Normal Spell Card or "Fusion" Normal Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. You can reveal 1 Fusion Monster in your Extra Deck; Special Summon 1 of the Fusion Materials whose name is specifically listed on that monster from your GY, in face-down Defense Position. You can only use each effect of "Keeper of Dragon Magic" once per turn. You cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except Fusion Monsters, the turn you activate either of this card's effects. |
Elemental HERO Brave Neos | LIGHT Warrior ★7 ATK 2500 / DEF 2000 |
Neos Fusion [UR] | |
"Elemental HERO Neos" + 1 Level 4 or lower Effect Monster Must be Fusion Summoned. Gains 100 ATK for each “Neo-Spacian” and “HERO” monster in your GY. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can add 1 Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand that specifically lists the card “Elemental HERO Neos” in its text. |
Elemental HERO Escuridao | DARK Warrior ★8 ATK 2500 / DEF 2000 |
Dimension of the Wizards [SR]
1 "Elemental HERO" monster + 1 DARK monster Must be Fusion Summoned and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card gains 100 ATK for each "Elemental HERO" monster in your Graveyard. |
Brave Neos is just an easy to summon beater in this deck. Fusion Summon him and destroy an opponent's monster to search your second Neos Fusion. He is also the only monster you can summon during the turn you use Cordyceps' effect.
Neos Fusion | Normal Spell |
Neos Fusion [SR] | |
Special Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck that lists exactly 2 monsters as material, including “Elemental HERO Neos”, by sending those monsters from your hand, Deck, or field, ignoring its Summoning conditions. For the rest of this turn after this card resolves, you cannot Special Summon monsters. If a Fusion Monster(s) you control that lists “Elemental HERO Neos” as material would be destroyed by battle or card effect, or shuffled into the Extra Deck by its own effect, you can banish this card from your GY instead. |
Like in any deck that uses the Neos Fusion Engine, Neos Fusion is used to mill graveyard effects. Pair Cordyceps or Lunalight Crimson Fox with Elemental HERO Neos to make Brave Neos.
Cordyceps, combined with the fact Chimerafflesia searches Neos Fusion when sent to the graveyard, can lead to some comeback plays.
Predaplant Squid Drosera | DARK Plant ★2 ATK 800 / DEF 400 |
Witchs Sorcery [R] | |
You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard, then target 1 face-up monster you control; this turn, it can attack all monsters your opponent controls with a Predator Counter, once each. If this face-up card leaves the field: Place 1 Predator Counter on each Special Summoned monster your opponent controls, and if you do, any of those monsters that are Level 2 or higher become Level 1 as long as they have a Predator Counter. |
Discard Squid Drosera to let Chimerafflesia attack multiple times. With Chimerafflesia's stat manipulation effect this could lead to an OTK. The problem is spreading multiple Predator Counters which can only be done by another Squid Drosera. In summary, Squid Drosera is most useful when used as Fusion Material on the field with Chlamydosundew.
