Make sure you use Red-Eyes Gearfried's first effect, not the second effect.

The second effect doesn't destroy the equip card.

If Shi En's effect is chained to this card's activation, this card would not be equipped yet when Shi En destroyed it, so this card's second effect won't activate.

Yes. Remember chaining resolves backward so I'd you activate blast in response to hhg, your blast equipped to monster FIRST, THEN it's destroyed while equipped.

situational if you dont destroy it it does nothing can be good with storm in combo with wild tornado but thats a long shot as well
