Leeroy8138 | Switcheroo | June 16 |
A comment from Leeroy8138:
Yeah, so this is definitely copied a lot from the WCS cyberdark neos decklist, but to be fair, it’s a very polished decklist.
The 3 edges are your main gameplan against subterrors. It might be tempting to cut one in the name of consistency, but if you cut one, you lose one use. Also allows you to fly over white stones of ancients.
Cosmic cyclone is good for shutting down ancient gears, and is a backrow removal that triggers switcheroo otherwise.
Switcheroo is perfect, considering vanilla neos, baconsaver, and leng ling make for about 4 garnets in a 21 card deck. As a note, setting a bacon saver or leng ling and passing could fake out someone thinking it’s blue eyes, won a handful of matches that way.
Enemy controller is perfect for both a battle trap and to take control of a monster and finish an opponent off but running is good. Treacherous is great disruption if you can get it off.
Lava golem at 2 makes sure it is there when you need it, and only occasionally when you don’t. 1 could be cut for consistency but I prefer 2.
Sphere Kuriboh comes in clutch whenever sealed tombs comes up. Let’s you survive against Koa’ki Meiru and Blue eyes.
Overall, good decklists of 3 of’s that should be run at such, 2 of’s that could be cut for consistency , and 1 of’s that should be kept there.

Mike | A Trick up the Sleeves | June 29 |
A comment from Mike:
I didn't have a third Magicians Rod or I would have replaced the Robe with it.
3x navigation is core. Synergizes with TTH since the negate banishes and arms TTH use. Navigation + Vigilance is stupid good. I played one duel where I used all three navigations (cancer odion burn).
illusion magic is low key amazing. Grabs DM from graveyard incase they were TTH on summoning.
summon sorcerer is spicy AF against all decks for GY banish (blue eyes, subterrors, vampire) plus Vermillion is great synchro.
eye of timaeus for tech paladin or amulet - paladin for blue eyes and timeaus for ancient gears. Vermillion was also clutch for AG matchup.
dark magic expanded and world legacy were a massive help for damage step options.
dark magic attack is one of the best cards in the deck due to navigation being able to block any response. Free backrow blow up.
All in all, DM works really well against any deck. Trick up the sleeve is perfect. Bricked once in my climb. Pretty consistent nonetheless. You play 6 navigation if you have 3 rod anyway. The matchup went surprisingly well against subterrors.

Near | Light and Dark | July 1 |
A comment from Near:
Rich KOG late with this deck but very happy as I don’t use meta decks. I got 15 wins in a row most if them again Subterror, Red-Eyes and White-eyes.
Just take out silence magician as soon as possible and set navigation and divine wrath. Use Jester to add Dark magician and ability to get the monster you need. Destroy backrow and attack. Sometimes you need to be aggressive other just wait. Very rarely I have synchro summon a monster but sometimes save me. Pretty much is a question of use the deck and get confidence of how to use it.

Leftoverz | Masked Tribute | June 11 |
A comment from Leftoverz:
Note: Really fun deck with a pretty high ceiling, the deck is only really playable because of the consistency provided by Masked Tribute giving you a live Survival's End whenever you draw it.
Neos engine feels kind of necessary to add some much-needed protection by using Neos Fusion and Bacon Saver, the card also provides a huge amount of deck thinning increasing the chance you will draw into your Survival's End/Marrella and with the skill being Masked Tribute over Dino Kingdom it also provides as your way of outing big monsters.
Survival's End is probably the best it has ever been since it is never dead when playing Masked Tribute, it also has a very good match up against a fair amount of top decks, by being able to destroy; Blue-Eyes White Dragon, The Masked Tribute Normal (Subterror) and Red-Eyes Gemini.
Synchro’s are there for the chance that you E-Con take a Fuma or White Stone so if you don't have them don't worry.
It's also worth mentioning that Masked Tribute can be activated after using Neos Fusion meaning that you can actually OTK really easily.

Eliminate :3 | Switcheroo | June 21 |
A comment from Eliminate :3:
Notes: I made more of an effort to reach KOG this time (lost interest for a bit). Given how well Switcheroo Neos Fusion works, I figured the same logic could be applied to Magnet Warriors. I only run one Berserkion because any more than that risks a dead hand. I also selected Gaia over Block Dragon because of its effect.
It's a great backup should Berserkion be destroyed, and requires less cost in addition to overpowering Red-Eyes Fusion. Sphere Kuriboh is a nice safety net, while Pot of Acquisitiveness restocks your deck and/or interrupts your opponent's strategies (i.e. World Legacy Clash or Metaphys). Other top tier decks like Blue-Eyes Cosmo, Six Samurai, Geartown, Amazoness, Spellbook, and Subterrors have also consistently lost to this archetype. I've constructed this deck quite efficiently but remember that it also takes smart plays to out-maneuver some people, particularly in Legend. Enjoy!

fanel | Balance | June 25 |
A comment from fanel:
The best 2 cards in this deck are Block Dragon and grass. If you open grass you basically win. Try to use BD as a fusion material while is on the field so it can add 3 cards to your hand, always try to have a BD on the field because it protects your monsters from destruction effects (TTH, koaki dragon, tribute to the doom). Use lady lapis lazuli effect alfter you have 3 special summoned monsters on the field after that summon a master diamond using her (via gem-kight fusion or lady master diamond's effect) to inflict 3000 damage. the best part about this deck is that it can put big beatsticks on the field that also deal effect damage ,so if you fear wall of d, mirror force and others you don't have to attack . If you have a second master diamond you can change it with a lady lapis and you have an FTK. You can also use destiny draw to and grass to your hand. Be careful sometimes you can brick like cazy.

Tristarina | Level Augmentation | June 22 |
A comment from Tristarina:
I was taking this month easy so i decided to give a try to the new version of Karakuri, Vermillion, World Legacy Clash and Magnet reverse give them good options to OTK and Destroy the board.
I was using this standard version since i found it to be the best for Turn 1 (you can change 1 karakuri cash cache for 1 Cosmic Cyclone) Anatomy is a crazy good +1 that lets you dig for TTH or WLC and MR,
I never went into landoise, so you could change it for something like Stardust Dragon (armades + lvl 3 tuner) in case you come across a yubel deck (which i found none of)
Remember that if your Burei gets floodgated you can use it´s eff to summon Strategist and then Strategist eff to flip Burei back up.
The usual combo is Ninishi + merchant in hand (or a cash cache) and that lets you go into a burei + strategist and draw 2 cards.
Summon Ninishi- if merchant is on hand use level dupe to turn ninishi to lvl 5, then summon merchant and serch for Karakuri Anatomy (if you have ninishi and Cash Cache the extra step is activate the spell, change ninishi position and serch for merchant) - activate Anatomy - synchro into Burei - Burei eff summons strategist - strategist eff changes itself or burei position - then use bureis eff to change itself or stategist position - draw 2!!!
There isn´t much to write about match ups since your combo is basically the same, what i will says is that knowing what your opp is playing and what he can do to counter you is very important to making the right moves

pharmacist | Switcheroo | June 7 |
A comment from pharmacist:
The skill is switcheroo, so it is obvious why I am running 2 cosmic cyclones (3 are bricky) to pop back rows ( which is TTH most of the times) and to trigger the skill (the main way to get rid of bricky Neos and other stuff you don't want to see in your hand) but the game some times insist to give it back to your hard!
This hybrid version is explosive and has a high win rate (your worst enemy is the brick), but you need to play carefully otherwise you will run out of resources rapidly if you fail to OTK your opponent (Kuribohs and bacon savors are everywhere in this meta)
Notable combo: A/D changer and Sazank to flip it face up the turn you set it to send your opponent monsters to the graveyard (only face up beware of that) bypassing destructive protection.
Other uses are to flip Maximus, brave neos, and ice face up if they get Canadia-ed or floodgate.

A comment from a_ndra12:
This deck is very consistent against most of the current Meta. No single lose from Legend 2 to KOG. You must know when to play aggressively and when to play defensively. Don't waste your resource if you are not sure you can win the game, especially when the opening hand is not too good. You can replace Gale lizard with Sazank. Just bring 2 Cosmic Cyclone to avoid brick.

A comment from ✿ SHIVA ✿:
Standard for the most part. Lava Golem is super clutch against Subterror and Six Sams. The Gale + Neos Fusion OTK came up a few times in legend. Metaphys was probably my most difficult matchup aside from brick hands. Explosive deck and versatile against the current meta.

A comment from DrHeisenberg:
Due to a lack of heavy back rows, Masked HEROEs are competitive again.
Tripple Canadia / Floodgate is mandatory to stop 3000+ ATK beaters
Forbidden Chalice is MVP for dealing a lethal 3200 damage or neutralizing opponent monsters' effects
