Recommended to activate during enemy turn for the surprise 300 attack increase if it can destroy enemy monster. This will leave them open for a direct attack instead of going for the attack increase when attacking a monster.
Because beatdown decks are getting weaker and weaker as more cards and introduced that can be used to counter them.

i haven't been able to activate metalmorph on my fusion monsters.... is this intentional? i can't activate reinforcements either. It doesn't say anything about that in the card description as far as i can see
Why an 8.0 rating? It probably is as good as, if not better than riryoku. It is basically an equip spell that also does half the other monster's damage as well. So in a way, it is like the best card ever
Riryoku and Metalmorph both have their strengths. If you're at a stage in the game where you've both only got low level monsters then Metalmorph is usually able to ambush attackers no problem and in all likelyhood put them on the defensive since you probably now have a 2000+ monster and just had another turn to maybe throw down a mirror wall or something too. It can easily give you advantage
- for a few turns at least. Maybe make them burn through their mirror walls and such while keeping yours handy since you're putting them on the defensive. Riryoku is great for a decisive victory as it can, of course, go through mirror wall. But it probably won't give you the sort of multi-turn edge that Metalmorph can give you.
