Notes: This wild concoction of stupidity somehow gave me the best run I've ever had with pure AG or pure Amazons I've ever had somehow. So I guess its not THAT much of a meme.

Amazoness "engine"
Standard Amazon plays (if you can even consider them plays) Princess and queen are absolutely necessary. Swords woman technically could be subbed out for Sage, BUT with all the big boss monsters running around its nice to get the occasional cheese win from face planting her into whatever-big-mofo-here for game. Tiger is there for the "oh crap" moments if you have nothing but a princess face up with just onslaught. Could sub him out for Baby tiger or scout for some destruction protection if you want.

Geartown & Reactor dragon
Actually pretty hilariously effective when your opponent is forced to deal with standard amazoness nonsense and you drop this boy on em. 2-3 galaxy for popping your own geartowns is about the only way you want to bring it out, but you could always set it and let your opponent pop it for you, or waste a cosmic on it instead of your other backrow. Basically the backup plan if Amazoness plays aren't working out for you (Onslaught gets cosmic'd or negated immediately)

Magical Hats
Actually the real MVP of the deck, and I would definitely recommend running at least 2, but I'm not rummaging through that god awful box its in nowadays, and the 1 I have from those dark times worked just fine. Just make sure you snipe the start of battle phase or you'll be sad if your opponent has Armades or their own Reactor dragon

Last bit of rambling
The skill could be swapped out for parasite Infestation, mind scan, whatever the hell you feel like. Its just nice guaranteeing an amazon if you somehow dont get OTK'd from a bricked hand.
Matchup wise this deck can match up pretty well with all the meta decks outside of maybe Buster Blader if they already have DNA surgery, but that being said once you have queen out with onslaught, its basically an auto loss if they cant fuse your stuff away. This deck claps most everything else with relative ease long as you make the correct reads

Ancient Reactor Dragon: The boss monster of this deck can Sp. Summon it by having Geartown or Ancient Gear Fortress destroyed. So good against BP cards like wall, drowning, widespread. It also doesn’t allow your opponent to activate monster effects like winged kuriboh, silent magician, silent swordsman, or sphere kuriboh. You can also use his effect to destroy fortress, geartown or opponents back row after it attacks.

Ancient Gear Wyvern: Really Good Adding support to get Reactor or Fortress from deck to hand when normal or Sp. Summoned from grave from fortress or from the deck from Geartown’s eff. BEWARE: Set all your cards before you summon him or you will miss your chance for the rest of that turn. It also can prevent your opponent from activating monster effects when it attacks as well but not spell/trap effects remember that.

Breaker a good monster that can pop your opponents back row as well as well as your own(Fortress, Geartown) nuff said.

Geartown- Busted Staple in this deck. You can summon with one less tribute which combos very well Middle age mechs in which you just need 1 counter on Ancient Gear Castle to summon it. It combos extra well with double cyclone, and unending nightmare.

Ancient Gear Fortress- card that keeps them pesky canadias and econs at bay when you summon an Ancient Gear Monster while this card is on the field. Its more useful when you use the middle age mechs skill to tribute Ancient Gear Castle for a Reactor dragon or going for Ancient gear wyvern. The card will also protect you from Maximus Effect. Will not protect you from Floodgate Trap Hole.

Unending Nightmare- Finally more use for this card can pop your Geartown, or Fortress or BOTH by sacrificing 1000 LP each. And its also very good for popping cards like U.A. stadium, Amazoness onslaught, U.A. Penalty Box or DNA Surgery which can cause problems to this deck.

Pulse Mines: Another situation where pulse mines come in the clutch. Very good first turn against koaki meirus and other OTK decks when they try to go for the OTK. You are able to stall a turn for you to do the same thing to them or waste their resources.

Beatdown is the best skill to go with ancient gears. It helps you to go over reactor dragon during mirror matches. Take note of when to use unending nightmare/ double cyclone. Geartown misses timing when chain link 2 or higher. Unending nightmare will resolve if its destroyed. Therefore the timing of when to activate your unending nightmare and double cyclone is extremely important.

The deck was very well rounded and seemed the been the solution to the Koa’ki dominant meta. It’s the cheapest way to have the fairest chance against Koa’ki. Obviously, while you’re running through the ladder you will see multiple Koa’ki decks and if you run through your plays correctly the match is an auto win. Great deck, had tons of fun with it!

This deck is very powerful. The key is playing smart and carefully, don’t misplay. Againts OTK deck like Koaki, you can set econ to take Urnight before they call wall. Anubis can prevent you from OTK. I prefer to use twister instead double cyclone because if you face Koaki, most of them do not set any back row, so I can’t activate double cyclone to destroy my Ancient Gear Spells. You can add unending nightmare if you have more. Galaxy cyclone can be used to destroy own set spell or opponent backrow and of course, it can be activated in graveyard next turn. Against any slow deck is not serious threat, except they set floodgate trap hole. Always activate fortress before summon any Ancient Gear Monster. In mirror match, do not activate or set geartown if you think they have spell destroyer on the field. And finally, UAGG is the answer of this deck. Try to faster than they

I played the fusion engine for a long time but after winning 2 and losing 2 repeatedly I switched back to what I thought was an inconsistent geartown deck.

Once I realised how good floodgate and canadia is against the current meta I opted for a more controlled stall version. It allowed me to shut down koaki which I didn't lose to once from legend 1 and I faced a lot.

It also shut down the new firefists and nephthys archetypes.

Only 3 destruction cards for geartown. Twister is better because you will brick with double cyclone. 2 reactor dragon was only necessary and most of my plays started from wyvern. Castle helped a lot.

Reached KOG from legend 1 with only one loss to yubel because I bricked my own spell and trap zones by mistake.

The deck works very well if you don't solely focus on getting reactor out and instead burn the opponents resources out before swinging for game.

Note: Most people already know how to use this deck, but I’ll just say that what separates my AG deck from others to make it unique in a way, is that I play it with ‘Peten The Dark Clown’, having that card prevents TKO decks like Koa’ki from…well…TKO’ing you. Koa’ki players set up their TKO strat, ready to finish me off with their 3 monsters, to only realize that little ‘ol Peten is stopping that from happening, then they’re pretty much done from that point on, scrambling to find a way to keep their precious Koa’ki monsters on the field. Peten also buys you a little time, in case you brick.

Ancient Gear Deck(Fusion):

It runs like most other AG fusion decks, so there's nothing new, except I added my own touch: forbidden chalice.

  • Slap yubel with chalice and pound it
  • Slap amazoness swordswoman with chalice and pound it.
  • Slap amazoness swordswoman with chalice as it rams into your ultimate golem.
  • Slap the vampire bat/cat with chalice as they try to search.
  • Slap spellbook blue boy with chalice as it tries to search.
  • Slap chalice on your own AG monsters for 400 attack bonus to get a battle advantage against opposing AG decks.
  • The 400 attack boost also helps with certain situations where you lack a few hundred attack points for OTK.

Basically chalice helps you punch through a lot of situations where normal AG's would have to just observe while sucking on their fingers.

Although we are in fast meta but control still claps. I was tired from using koaki in the second stage of KC CUP so I tried this version for the ladder, it took me from legend 1 to KOG.
I focused on my build on cards that enter the damage step like shrink and mirror wall.

Flood gate and canadia are very useful to slow down koaki. I also decided to use wall of disruption to slow down decks that swarm the field like vampires
Armades with back row is very difficult to break.

Cosmic cyclone was very effective against AG. I chose dust tornado over galaxy cyclone because it triggers canadias from the graveyard. Winning % of this deck is about 80-90%.

Description: This deck can brick sometimes but it has great OTK potential. When going first, get the Fate combo rolling and set that on the field to protect you till next turn and OTK. Don't be afraid to use only one banish for Fate as removing back row makes OTKs possible and easy.

Spellbook Organization helps a lot for picking up what you need for OTK or the situation you're in. Use Spellbook of Power on Cosmo Brain to get over big monsters and banish anything else which bothers you with Fate. I went on a 15 game win streak with this deck from Legend 1 to KOG. It took some luck but skill is also important with this deck to deal with much of the meta.

Maybe some of you are not familiar with this version of the deck, so make sure you use Offerings to the Doomed (whenever you need it) before activating Sasuke's effect. Must add this idea is not really mine, I was inspired by Duel Links Meta, so all the credit goes to its crew. However, I'm playing Snipe Hunter instead of Breaker the Magical Warrior and no Tuners at all. Snipe Hunter is easier to get. =)

I be honest I can’t leave this game right now. But let’s be honest, this game is boring most of the time. You don’t start with a good hand, you lose. The meta is fine, but just repetitive. And synchro didn’t take off like Konami wanted. I was playing this game from the start. And it was a good balance. P2w was just getting more cards to work with. You could Kog on a budget deck. Look I help this game, putting a good amount in this game. But it’s hard to keep up. Why Kog? Most just play the meta deck that got them there. So no point to rush Kog. Maybe budget synchro structure deck, might help the meta. That’s all.

Many people, deep inside their heart, love collecting cards more than being KOG. So many people spent hundreds of dollars in this game and still failed to perform well in big events like KC Cup or WCS, but they never cry. While people who never spend money in this game keep crying even though they got KOG every season. Why? Because those F2P players are just ENVY because there are cards only P2W players can get

that's pretty much ture, yes F2P can build any deck, even dark world, which is arguably the most expensive deck but the thing this by the time you finish building the deck a banlist may hit the game or the deck you built get powercreeped, it's all about the number of cards options and the time you take to build a deck

Lava golem made it to kog early in the season, wow, just wow...
"What a expensive meta" lol, now since you can't deny this fact, these haters are probably going to say something like: "They do not like any Lava Golem deck". That's quite a pretty ill way of thinking, very resentful people they are, they should disable the comments.

Hey guys.
Serious question here.
How come the game is broken, when people make it to Kog with FUR HIRES? and Cyber Angels? I thought "people who plays for free" and "veterans" are being "left aside" because the game is "pay to win".

Just how many fallacies do we have to read? don't you get tired of lying all the time?

Geartown broken? no way in hell people, it bricks.

Ok dude, that seems nice. But honestly... all the TOP tier decks right now DO NOT have 3 canadia, 3 traphole, 3 drowning and 3 widespread ruin. Those decks are quite literally: PLATINUM MATERIAL.

Karakuri, Buster Blader, Vampires, Blue-Eyes, Koa'ki Meiru, AG, none of those decks use the traps you mention. Maybe a couple of canadias, but not really heavy backrow at all.

They dont have it only because they have no empty slots in 20 card deck.

Sometimes you have to sacrifice something you can’t include everything.

I have met AG decks with Floodgates.

Any banishing card can take out the Ancient Gear deck. This means amazoness are quite a great deck if you hate the Gears so damn much guys, why do you keep making issues anyway huh?

Have you consider playing sasuke samurai? it's a N rarity card, it negates all spells and traps for 1 turn but requires you to pay 800 LP

You are quite right, Sniper hunter and especially Sasuke Samurai are less expensive and easier to obtain. You won't need too many gems.
ag is not broken
i just can't understand all the complaints here. ever since the structure deck got out using vampires my W-L ratio against ag is 8-1 and would be 9-0 if not for misplaying in the one duel i lost. as long as you play a deck that has a way of dealing with a 3k atk and def monster that doesn't involve a battle trap, ag's very beatable. keep in mind that even if they have fortress out, it only protects reactor dragon for 1 turn. another deck that could easily beat ag is tie-that-binds koaki. 3300 maximus would easily run reactor over, even if he's protected by fortress

I don't think Winged Kuriboh's effect will be negated since it activates in the graveyard. Last gamble + wingeds is the go to f2p deck.

Lol, winged effect is skipped since AG didn't give a window for the activation. It also applies to cards thats destroyed by AG in battle phase.
