A comment from Overhaul:

Get your LP below 2K(with the help of Burst Rebirth if needed), get rid of necrofear and stall turns with Kuribohs and Traps and win with Destiny Board. You need to be experienced to use this deck. Extra deck is just bluff.

Swept through legend only losing once to vampires. Gemini keeps so much pressure on koaki no matter if going first or second. Gemini out resource most decks and usually keep field advantage do to supervise and spark. Had 2 drownings for most rouge decks but never used it. Would probably swap 1 drowning for another floodgate.

A comment from A1ius:

Classic Karakuri builds with augmentation, outplay your opponent with powerful back row, thx to draw power from anatomy. the differences are I'm using 2 SR Headlong to match a higher atk monster and running 2 old-school trap Anubis and etaqua for preventing OTK from AG and KM.

A comment Wardioz:

  • Vs Buster Decks its pretty much a lost once the fusion punk is out. I do good against that deck with my MH though.

  • Against everything else, it's the green light. Just play smart of course, if you go first especially.

  • A cool trick is you can tribute Rooklord with the Prototype token.

A comment from Santa:
Pretty basic build. Buster Blader is difficult but not impossible. If they turn one go for Dragon Destroyer, Canadia lets you summon Maximus and pop DD. If they wait for you to drop Maximus before fusing, you just summon Wall instead of Sandman. Other than BB, it's just playing smart and knowing when to drop Maximus and when to play slow to bait out the back row.

A comment from [TCG]•RSPCT:
Nothing special. Just play smart. Always try to summon wall if you going first. Ice is your ace against karakuri. Buster blader isn't that hard as long as you can prevent the fusion.

A comment from RCF • Dieded:
During this month, koaki is the best. The skill then must be da best too. So I choose tttb since it can do OTK using only 2 monsters (which also trigger grit more easily) and you don't have to worry against Ancient gears since you bring Ice with you. And you can see the result.

BirdRestartFeb 7

A comment from Bird:
This deck propelled me to kog 10 times now. I had to adjust to Ancient Gears now that they are relevant again so Hey, Trunade wasn’t doing me any good because they would always chain to it. To counter that I put in 3 cosmic cyclones and I let them initiate the play first then I chained cosmic cyclone based off their play. That also goes for Vamps as well. Enemy Controller came in handy when AG players ran Ultimate AGG so it was easy to Econ take it and usually they rage quit when they exhaust all their cards using polymerization only to get Econ taken

Lastly, Koa’ki Decks in general, thrive going 2nd on the coin toss, and to have the right hand is pretty much an auto win.

MingBalanceFeb 7

A comment from Ming:
Paleozoic Leanchoilia moves a banished card to my graveyard, allowing me to use the Diamond Core for an additional turn.

I ran 3 copies of Core Reinforcement to prevent me from running out of monsters. However, the most important use of Core Reinforcement is reviving.

Koa'ki Meiru Wall to negate my opponent's Spell Cards multiple times per turn. When I negate a Spell Card with Wall, I can immediate chain Core Reinforcement at Chain Link 3 so I will be ready to negate my opponent's next Spell Card before my opponent gets the priority to activate it.

Omer52BalanceFeb 7

A comment from Omer52:
Note on how this deck works: This is mostly a pretty straightforward Koa ki deck. Urnight, Sandman, Maximus, Diamond Core and Iron Core are all in there for the obvious reasons and the way they work is well-explained on your website. However, I did opt for Wall as my last monster because of Geartown players using double cyclone. They basically surrender when their De-spell or another spell/trap destructing card gets denied by Wall. This allows you to have something in the back row without having to worry about a possible double cyclone. When playing against Geartown decks, never go for a back row or field cards with your Maximus.

Paleozoic Canadia is just such a good card in general. Make sure you activate its effect before your opponent attacks if they are using a Geartown deck. But it’s so good in general to shut down a monster’s effects. Treacherous works in this deck because of the Balance skill, and even if you have Paleozoic Canadia in your graveyard already, it can (with some luck) come back to the field which allows Treacherous to be activated. I don’t have Floodgate yet, so I am temporarily experimenting with Needle ceiling as my 6th trap card. I haven’t pulled it yet, but the idea behind is to use it in a match where I have first turn. I play my monster face down and if the opponent swarms the field, it would potentially allow me to activate Needle Ceiling. Not the best choice probably. Core reinforcement can really get you out of a tough spot, allowing you to summon a Maximus without banishing another Iron core.

All in all, I think it’s all pretty self-explanatory Koa’ ki stuff. Perhaps the best tip for new Koa’ ki players (like myself) would be to be patient with executing your combo, because you can be out of resources and left with no cards in your hand pretty fast with a Koa’ ki deck. Use your backrow to fend off whatever your opponent throws at you and protect your life points, and when you’ve assembled all the right cards in your hand (which should be pretty easy), go for it.

JoyyDBoyyThe Tie that BindsFeb 11

A comment from JoyyDBoyy:

Hi, so here is my first time in KoG with this Koa’Ki Meru Deck. The Enemy Controller is the CORE cards of the deck, to control, to defend and also to WIN (that’s because of those I’ve reached KoG). You don’t need anything else. That’s what makes difference between the good and the almost good Koa deck.

King of CardParasite InfestationFeb 3

A comment from King of Card:
Made it to KOG so fast. So cancerous, it is so scary. Main Strategy is getting lava golem out with Mithra as tribute support whenever your opponent has only one monster. Parasite skill is to disrupt your opponent's gameplay or get lava golem out. Powerful rebirth can recycle winged kuriboh and you can chain it if your opponent attempts to destroy your set trap, with your winged kuriboh still on the field. This deck shits on karakuri and koaki meiru so badly that it is no joke. The only bad match up is UA but you don't see them nowadays.

Where is the second Amazoness deck? Was that an error?
Anonymous 3days ago
Spending only $11 to get 3 Reactor Dragon is considered P2W? I don't know if you are just frustrated about your real life or your skill to play this game is too bad. I spend no money in this game and still manage to get KOG every season using decks that are built using gems only, this game is never P2W as long as F2P KOG like me still exists

Anonymous 8hour ago Reply
There is nothing that is "pay to win", there are so many players spending so much money on this game, and they don't win much (if I don't say never). The game forces you to pay to get cards early, but if you can't or you don't want, then the only thing left is grinding.

Anonymous 7hour ago Reply
You want to say that people who spend money do not gain advantage in this game?

But they get a game advantage.

You pay with your time to keep up with meta changes, but new staple cards and boxes are released more and more often and some old decks are no longer relevant.

Anonymous 5days ago
I stopped playing for a couple of months and came back about 1 week ago.

Easy King of Games

• No trick up the Sleeve
• No canadia
• No Breaker the Magical Warrior
• Bought it with gems (Purchase history shown at the end of the video)
• You can get a third copy of Dragon Spirit of White with Tickets.

• This of course means, the game is not 'Time demanding' at all. Decks who were released months ago can be 100% competitive.

Almost all my duels are shown here:

Hope the video entertains you. (Before you say something funny, I upload videos like... every 2 months, I'm not a content creator)

doesn't matter if you upload 2 months or every 2 days. If you have a youtube channel and you upload. That makes you a content creator.

Just so how Vylon, a completely F2P archetype made it to KOG as well, it's in the last page so I will post it here, I guess they won't mind.

Probably the most F2P deck in the current meta.

Daily reminder that if you play spellbooks you are braindead and ruin the game. I am not saying this as a joke but please consider suicide if you play this cancer p2w deck. Or at least go back to playing fortnite.

@Toon 7days ago
I don't really think Ancient Gears are Pay-To-Win at all, simply because... well... they don't always win lol. That deck is quite bricky, sometimes those AG deck users do only set 2 spells on the field and do nothing else.

yubel decks kick ancient gears ass.

Anonymous 4days ago Reply
it's pretty arguable.
yes if you managed to summon Yubel they can not get rid of it easy, but most AG decks include Enemy controller. so you stay alive until they draw it. besides, if the island is destroyed by the Reactor dragon effect, Yubel will miss timing

Grab hazy flames.
Grab Koaki Meiru.
Grab amazoness or/and lava golem.

The fact that you keep insisting destiny board is reliable really makes it hard to take anything serious not that anyone took you seriously in the first place you are really coming off as a no life troll anymore
<< Anonymous
Anonymous 3days ago Reply
Weird. The op never mentioned Detiny Board, only the guy above did. I guess when someone is angry... well... they just said things out of context. Anyway, I don't know if the Destiny Board deck is a fake, but I'm pretty sure this game requires enough skill to make plenty of of non meta decks competitive enough. The worst players I've seen in my life, are indeed, the ones who complain more.

How come some of u actually think this game is expensive? is that a joke? have u seen any of those games that cost u like 199$ in Steam.

There are some dudes who plainly hate this game (and I actually wonder why bro), it's not time demanding because you don't need the last decks to win. In the last KC CUP the 1st GLOBAL PLACE was playing Amazoness and Vampires. No Koa'ki Meiru and NO Ancient Gears at all, yeah... the game does not force you to buy cards at all, buster blader is pretty OLD by now and it's totally competitive.
