Now the world of Yu-Gi-Oh! Vrains has been released! To unlock and dive into the new world, you have to complete Soulburner unlock missions first. It's not that hard to complete those missions.

Link Summon is a new summoning mechanic introduced in Yu-Gi-Oh! Vrains.
A new type of monster cards are introduced called Link Monster Cards. Players can Link Summon a Link Monster by sending their Face-Up monsters to the GY as Link Materials that equal to that Link Monster's Link Rating.
The Link Monster that special summoned from the Extra Deck will be placed in the Extra Monster Zone or Main Monster Zone that a Link Monster on the field points to, in Face-Up Attack Position. Since Link Monsters don't have DEF Stats, therefore they can't be special summon in defense position or even change battle position by using some cards like Enemy Controller.
Extra Monster Zone is where you place monsters that are Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, such as Fusion Monsters. Although there are two spaces, each player can only use one of them at a time during Duels. When there are no monsters in the Extra Monster Zone , It is not considered as being part of either player's field. During a Duel, the first player to Special Summon a monster to the first Extra Monster Zone selects either the left ot right posiition, and then Special Summons their monster.
Notes: If a player controls a Special Summoned monster in an Extra Monster Zone, that zone is treated as the player's field.

He is inspired by Playmaker and AI, Blue Angel, and The Gore's fight against the Knight of Hanoi, so he started to operate under the name, Soulburner to save LINK VRAINS from the Knight of Hanoi. Since then, he also becomes one of Playmaker's allies and Yusaku's closet friends. |
 The Gore | The Core, also knowns as George Core. He is a Celebrity Duelist in LINK VRAINS and serves as a rival to Playmaker aka. Yusaku Fujiki. |
 Varis | Varis, also knowns as Roken Kogami, the leader of the Knight of Hanoi who promises to his father for saving Humanity by eliminating AI. He bears a great hatred towards Ai and the Cyberse world as considering them a threat to the real world. |
 Blue Angel | Blue Angel, also known as Skye Zaizen. She is Yusaku's classmate and also the younger step-sister of Akira Zaizen. Her avatar identity, Blue Angel is a popular celebrity duelist in LINK VRAINS. After she becomes a threat as with Ignis, she changes her Avatar becomes Blue Gal. After meeting and partnering with Water Ignis, Aqua, she takes on new battle avatar which known as Blue Maiden to stop Lightning and save Miyu Sugisaki. |
