Bandit Kweef | Holy Guard | Apr 12 |
A comment from Bandit Kweef:
Splashed Silent Swordsman in this Amazoness build because 1) it gives alternate win condition if Onslaught is popped and 2) SS is incredible against Six Samurai and Ancient Gear. Alternated between 2 and 3 Silent Swordsman but ultimately found 3 to be too bricky
3 Canadia is a MUST in this meta with Six Samurai as the clear best deck (Floodgate Traphole always good too especially against AG since non targeting)
Lava Golem is so good going second (pseudo Kaiju that can lock down Six Samurai) but is obviously a dead card going first, but regardless I see it as a must run, could even experiment with running 2.

冰糖2018 | The Tie that Binds | Apr 5 |
A comment from 冰糖2018:
Main points:
When Secret Six Samurai - Fuma is summoned, Legendary Secret of the Six Samurai or Legendary Six Samurai - Kizan can be summoned specially. Then they can summon Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En.
Legendary Six Samurai - Enishi can return one monster.
Six Style - Dual Wield can return two cards.
Shien's Dojo can summon specially Secret Six Samurai - Fuma. Six Samurai United can draw cards quickly.
If you have Shi En on the field, save the spell/trap negation for the card that can actually allow your opponent to have a comeback. They'll usually try to make you negate the wrong card by activating the important one second.

Broimatti | The Tie that Binds | Apr 6 |
A comment from Broimatti:
Pure Samurai deck, no room for techs. Tried offerings, TTH, econ, canadia but the pure build worked better for me. Wanted to tweak around a little bit when i struggled in dlv 19 but didn‘t know exactly what to change (thought about ebola, maybe cunning, grandmaster, hatsume, or even enishi - shiens cancelor) but now in dlv max i can optimize my build further.
AG and dino was easy, Hero can be hard when they have destiny calling, koaki and vampire were non existed during my climb and mirror is just a pain in the ass and based on pure luck. Yubel is also very hard to beat as well as all types of the decks played by weevil - amazoness, banish control, cipher soldier burn or regular burn. 3x shi en isn‘t necessary (i needed 3 only one time but still lost) but i‘m not sure what else to put inside, 2nd armades would‘t suit my playstyle since I hardly summoned 1 - i thought about stardust to sync away weevil‘s parasite but this seemed to situational (even though it could help against yubel but isn‘t normally summonable with this build).
If i‘d have a 3rd kizan i‘d switch one legendary secret but i din‘t have and it comes also handy in a lot of situations. 3x enishi is a must because it‘s effect is great against other syncro decks, AG and even yubel (but beware: if you send terror incarnate back to the hand it‘s effect activates and summons ultimate nightmare)

A comment from GoEzOnMe:
Budget six samurai with spicy anti meta tech
Armades for dealing with yaksha and pesky s stall
Sometimes enishi is scarier than shi en itself
Dual wield isn't necessary, its a good trap but too situational, u can choose to run it or u can replace it with musakani/cunning/back to the wall for a chance of epic comeback...or just put best staple that u have
Don't forget skull meister, its a must card to handle current meta ( yubel, AG, dino at least u have a chance to stop them before their combo rollin' ) he is MVP

BlackBladeG | Beatdown | Apr 15 |
A comment from BlackBladeG:
I used a Six Samurai Build (Original I know) to get to Stage 2 of the April 2019 KC Cup. The different features I brought to my build was the inclusion of Great Shogun Shein, Grandmaster of the Six Samurai, X-Saber Wayne, and Stardust Charge Warrior. I ran Shein and Grandmaster as ways to increase the overall bodies on board, because Shi En isn't always the most reliable boss monster, and with the inclusion of Beatdown (as my skill) I almost never have any problems running over other larger bodies. I also ran X-Saber Wayne as a going Second Tech. If my opponent doesn't have any set spell or traps, and I know getting another monster on the field will get me a win, I will typically summon Wayne rather than Shein. Thank you for listening to my TED Talk, I hope you enjoyed.

[SEM]ryusher | ATK Booster: Synchro Warriors | Apr 6 |
A comment from [SEM]ryusher:
Always fun to use self created de
ck to mess with current meta.
Six Samurai - summon AOJ Cyclone Creator, discard Fabled Ganashia, send the Dual Wield look alike set card to their hand, Ganashia back to field, synchro summon Stardust Charge warrior and boost atk with skill (2600) wipe all his special summon monster, now we controlled the field.
Yubel - synchro summon Stardust Charge warrior with Psychic Wheeleder and destroy Yubel will make him missing timing. Chain shooting star on Yubel's destruction effect, missing timing. Cosmic Flare return yubel to deck, Yubel can't activate any effect from deck.
Hazy - Total 1 whole turn of battle protection with Cosmo Flare, 2600 atk of Stardust charge warrior can destroy all their remaining monster.
AG - Chain shooting star whenever they trying to destroy the gear town, shooting star destroy reactor dragon before they declare the battle target or cosmic flare to send them back to deck, use AOJ Cyclone Creator to return AG castle to hand, special summon Psychic Tracker, synchro summon Stardust Charge warrior, with skill, will boosted till 3200 atk.
Stall / burn - just pray harder.

Rovvylicous | What Grows in the Graveyard | Apr 11 |
A comment from Rovvylicous:
Summary:
Used this pretty much for most of the KC CUP. Had three wheeleeders initially but found that the 3rd junk synchron was better for the Ancient Gear matchup and yubel for the lvl 8 synchro plays.
Six Sam is frankly a rough match up all around but you can pull some cute armedes plays and stardust charge can take control of a duel quickly. The bounce two trap is honestly the biggest threat.
Other than that, I’d say the deck is heavily dependent on your draw, and can range from explosive to outright passive. Not for the front of heart.
Quick note, I am semi f2p and I wish I had sangans, but serene has justification in her own right over sangan.

Almond | Labyrinth Builder | Apr 12 |
A comment from Almond:
I reached Lv. Max on day 2 in 75 wins starting from the Lv. 10. Although it is 24 card size, the deck is pretty fast through the searchable effects of the Vylon equipments, Cube and Sangan. Starting first is better in order to summon Epsilon with no risk, in case we start second we have 2 copies of trunade.
The ideal starting hand requires 1 tuner as we can use the skill to have our synchros in 1st turn, Cube is the better tuner since he searches out an equip for Epsilon and Zera.
The equipments we want to give priority are Vylon Segments (prevents Epsilon from being target of monsters and traps as Canadia, Enishi) and Vylon material / mage power / power of guardians to boost Epsilon's stats for an OTK or to face certain decks which revolve to strong monsters as AG. Moreover, Epsilon effect prevents his equipments from being targeted from effects, therefore it results in mutual protection between Epsilon and equipments.
The deck seemed being surprisingly consistent against Six Samurai, in this matchup having Epsilon + Segment makes an almost unbreakable combo being immune to Enishi and Dual wield, plus Epsilon get over their boss monster with 2800 ATK. Might be useful having power of guardians to further make survive Epsilon from techs like Offering of the doomed, Enemy controller and Zanji.
Pretty consistent against AG , it is important to boost Epsilon ATK over 3000 before the opponent turn and then pop Reactor / Wivern through Epsilon effect.
Tricky matchups are against Yubel and Amazoness, but extra deck options as Stardust Dragon for Yubel and Angel of Zera for Amazoness may in part counter their typical strategies.
Stardust Dragon can totally counter Yubel thanks to the prevent from disruptive effects, one thing important to keep in mind to end the opponent before they get into the Cerulean phoenix, or prevent the summon through Cursed Seal/Scolding.
