A comment from Delipan:
The best chances you have at winning with this deck is to be second and by knowing your opponents cards/deck, their strategy with the way they play and just knowing popular decks in general.

Dre | Fiend Farewell | Apr 11 |
A comment from Dre:
The deck I used to reach Lv Max in the KC cup.
The deck is very playable if you have knowledge of the other decks and how they work. The deck is very easy to use there’s tons of backrow/monster removal as well as monster protection from destruction by effect if you use giant and empress correctly. Giant as well helps special summon as well pretty easily. Discards are never an issue seeing as trance and snipe hunter are your primary low level monsters. Have made some pretty insane plays with this deck, it grows on you after you get used to the strengths and weaknesses of the deck.

B4Bear | What Grows in the Graveyard | Apr 11 |
A comment from B4Bear:
MVP: Jinzo, shutdowns many decks when summoned turn one.
When going first, traps or spells to stall until you can start summoning.
Armadas was the mainstay of winning conditions, with Junk Bezerker for those using defence summoning.
Traps neutralised key summons by opponents, with Offerings taking care of the larger creatures.
All in all, it was a slog to get to lvl 20, but satisfying playing a non-meta deck.

André Rafael | Holy Guard | Apr 5 |
A comment from André Rafael:
A deck focused on banishing monsters with the Amazoness and DD Warriors.
In this KC predominate Six Samurai, Yubel and Ancient Gear. To get rid of very strong monsters like the Dragon of the Reactor and the Shi En, just commit suicide with the DD. There have been unbeaten sequences of more than 10 duels. Very consistent deck.

Arya_Stark | LP Boost α | Apr 12 |
A comment from Arya Stark:
This is basically just a watered down amazoness banish control deck since Weevil is not happening. As much extra banish is included as possible with d.d. warrior, assailant, and dimensional prison. Red sparrow summoner is a nice card that can give amazoness a little more speed by floating into a princess or swordswoman if you need it.
Gravity lash helps with anti meta wildheart tenkabito decks. And of course there is lava golem. The skill is lp boost alpha because I couldn't find anything better to use with Zane. But the extra lp made the difference a few times.

DrHeisenberg | Last Gamble | Apr 9 |
A comment from DrHeisenberg:
With Maximus limited to one and less players using Ancient Gears, Batteries proved to be very capable of competing again. As this decks runs essentially no backrow and Batteryman Industrial Strength is stronger than Shi En, especially Six Sams are no bad matchup.
The core cards to consider for a clean way of building Batterymen are Batteryman Industrial Strength, Batteryman Micro-Cell, Batteryman Solar and Thunder Sea Horse. Thus, I used three of each kind. The main focus of this build is to mill through the deck with Thunder Sea Horse, Batteryman Micro-Cell and Batteryman Solar in order to search for Batteryman Industrial Strength and put enough Batteryman and Thunder-type cards into the Graveyard to summon Industrial and activate his effect to destroy 1 monster and 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field.
Both Batteryman Solar and Micro-Cell thin the deck and set up for Industrial by putting their counterparts either on the field or into the Graveyard. Thunder Sea Horse either searches double Batteryman Solar to get you started or two more Thunder Sea Horses for consistency purposes (be careful: Thunder Sea Horse's effect turns off Batteryman Industrial Strength access the turn you use it).
Additionally, I put two Snipe Hunters for destroying powerful cards by discarding more Batteryman or Thunder-type cards into the Graveyard. Sphere Kuriboh was essential in many matches - it is important to protect your Life Points until you manage to bring out Batteryman Industrial Strength. Tech Cards are Treacherous Trap Hole and Enemy Controller to stop your opponent's monsters and protect your own ones as well as one Galaxy Cyclone for backrow cleaning purposes. Be aware that Industrial's Defense is 0 - so try to avoid summoning Industrial only to get it Canadia'd (if so, Sphere Kuriboh was MVP). This deck hardly bricked.
Skill is Last Gamble - regardless the latest hit. I didn't even have to use the skill during most of my duels.

Ryukoshin | Mind Scan | Apr 15 |
A comment from Ryukoshin:
To use this deck well, stay passive, never attack until the Mind Scan skill is triggered. Take advantage of it to recover one of the Bujin monsters and throw it the same or another according to the matchup of the opponent. Also, try to have the Bujin Crane against big monsters and Bujin Miles-Paws / Qilin to clear the board.

Fatal | Destiny Draw | Apr 10 |
A comment from Fatal:
I used a Buster Blader deck to climb the KC cup first stage. It was actually a very easy climb until I reached DLV 17-18 I was back and forth for a while and switched to a weevil burn and back to buster and eventually completed the climb. I didn’t run into a single buster deck the whole KC cup. My deck is a little different then the usual I added Alexandrite Dragon and it helped a lot to have a 2000 atk beater that could also be used and fusion material. My hardest match up was 6 Sam if I didn’t get DNA quick enough and Aromage was tricky sometimes. Overall this deck is solid and I’m surprised no one else is used BB this time around.

rosasc95 | Destiny Draw | Apr 13 |
A comment from rosasc95:
Depending on whether I go first or second and what I drew I play defensively. I chose Destiny Draw because Balance wasn't giving me good hands because of the limitations of needing 6 of each type of card for it to work. The Cosmic Cyclones are usually set and I play defensively.
I also never have more than one monster on my field in case I get TTH or Lava Golem'd. When I fusion I do it on my opponents battle phase. This puts them at a disadvantage especially if I use their monsters to summon the Buster Blader fusion.
If I don't open with DNA surgery I will go for Dark Paladin for spell control and he serves well to stall until I can draw into buster and DNA. Once I finally get those cards my opponents have used a lot of resources trying to get rid of the dark paladin.

Mut | Dinosaur Kingdom | Apr 6 |
A comment from Mut:
If you have Babycerasaurus and Paleozoic Marrella, you better Summon Babycerasaurus and Set Paleozoic Marella. Your Chain Links option must "On" instead "Auto". On your opponent turn at Draw Phase, you quicky active Paleozoic Marrella and send Survival's End from your Deck to your Graveyard and you are ready to destroy 1 card your opponent control and your Babycerasaurus as you want.

Hollo | Beatdown | Apr 7 |
A comment from Hollo:
I decided to bring Dragunity because, in my opinion, it is a really underrated deck, that can often win you a game in turn 2 if you play your cards right, also because a lot of players don't know how to deal with it because of its low usage. I also wanted to use a deck accessible by the majority of players and that does not require the resetting of packs at all, in fact, you'll see that there is only one copy of each ultra rare card.
The strategy with this deck is to play the opponent: against stall decks, you have a decent matchup, and you just have to play your cards right; against yubel, the first thing you would want to do is to summon Stardust Dragon and then see how the opponent responds. Against six samurais and ancient gear, it's tougher and they are both really popular at the moment, but if you manage to summon gae bulg the chances you'll win will increase a lot, also because many players don't know its effect.
The message with this deck is that every player can get to a high rank, even if it doesn't have the best cards; it's all about your ability to make the right play at the right time (and obviously, luck helps a lot).

XiangQin037 | Heavy Starter | Apr 9 |
A comment from XiangQin037:
A well-known Fur Hire Deck. In the light of Heavy Starter & a recently added Boss card, namely Arcana Force EX The Light Ruler, the consistency of this deck has drastically increased. It is best to put some trap cards with trigger effect, like Paleozoic Canadia, Floodgate Trap Hole, & Needle Ceiling etc.
Use those trap card whenever your opponents summon their 1st Monster. Just in case, always make you able to summon another Fur Hire in next turn after you special summon The Light Ruler. This deck stand a chance to counter most of the deck but YUBEL.
