Flipping monsters face-down is a good way to turn off effects and expose weak stats. Also, face-down monsters cannot be used as Synchro or Xyz material.

Ice Barriers have a lot of flexibility in Synchro Summoning alongside Territory of the Sharks. Could be improved with a third Medallion as well as slotting in Abyss Dweller or Spider Shark to replace one of the Graydles in the Extra Deck, if you have them.
