Event Details

Period	July 20 - July 26

For a limited time, Arkana will appear in Duel World! Duel him to obtain exclusive Reward cards!
Arkana drops rarer cards at higher levels!
Raise your stage to duel Arkana at a high level!

Note

Arkana will not appear at the Gate.
The chance of Arkana appearing is not related to the chance of other Standard or Legendary Duelists appearing.
The chance of Arkana appearing is affected bu the use of Duel Orbs/Boosted Duel Orbs.
There can only be one Arkana in Duel World at a time.

Recommended Event Rewards

Card	Explanation
Dark Eradicator Warlock	This card delivers 1,000 damage each time a Normal Spell Card is activated. Add this card along with many Normal Spell Cards to strengthen your Dark Magician deck
Anti-Magic Arrows	With this card, either you nor youyr opponent can activate Spell or Trap Cards until the end of the turn. Activating this card's effect stops the activation of any Spell, Trap,or Monsters effects, use it to avoid strong Trap Cards.

Dark Magician Exclusive Animation

A new animation can be viewed once Arkana summoned his own Dark Magician.

I use destiny doro, to get Black Magician Girl, i use double summon i summon a monster, i tribute it my BMG have 2900ATK(3Black magician in the grave) pandora life point 200 i attack his Black Magician and i win. And what's my reward? His Black Magician :D

The chance of Arkana appearing is AFFECTED by the use of Duel Orbs/Boosted Duel Orbs
So let's use those orbs xd

I heard this was a typo that got translated. I've seen quite a few people post about it in Reddit and there hasn't been an official work from Konami (at least that I've seen). I would say this is a typo since I've used duel orbs and the instant spawn orb option in the shop and none of those times he has spawned.

I m farming keys and raising some chars 4h now and i have to say that the orbs did not affect arkana's appearence on the world! gl if you want to try tho :P

So basically once you get anti-magic arrows, there's no point in dueling him. His drops are bad.
It would have been cool if we got dark magic curtain, dark magic inheritance or dark magical circle instead of cards yami yugi drops

Dark jeroid,Holding arm/leg, legendary fiend, Makyura the Destructor (THIS NOT 100%, THIS CARD IS BANNED), Gil garth, Drillago, Lord poison, Masked Beast Des gardius,bait doll,premature burial,monster reborn, remove trap(LV up reward?), Mask of restrict, coffin seller,jam defender,Metal reflect slime(IDK this too OP), and Nightmare wheel. This cards can be event rewards, LV up rewards.

And some Lava Golem support. (Enough Mask OF restrict, Nightmare wheel= good combo + Shadow game skill.) I think this 3 card and skill very good. create fiend deck, with these two trap, and 1 spell what you draw a fiend, discard and draw again (sry i don't know that name) and if they release infected mail, you can win easily. OR if you don't have shadow game skill use, labyrinth skill.

I think they add 2-3 good SR card to the event. best 3 card what good the lava golem; Mask of restrict, Nigthmare wheel and infected mail. but, if they add MONSTER REBORN is a LV 40 reward ( i think they dont add the event, we can get 2 or 3 copy. ) and if the lava golem in the grave, use monster reborn, and yugi's Mystic box it's a good combo.

Has someone already seen this and does his deck change after "he" arrives? If so, then that would be really cool storywise (probably not so cool for farming tho)

ok nvm, he's still the same with the same deck. this little scene was still really nice tho (happened after i got the 50 gems for his special missions). maybe another scene will play after i conplete the last mission. that would be cool

So I've been at mission 35 for about 5 months now, done pretty much all events like this one and gotten to duel level 40s in all previous events. For some reason Arkana doesn't spawn in anything but level 30 for me I have dueled him around 20 times at level 30 and not once at level 40. Does anyone else have this issue?

For those who are having problems on respwaning arkana,s.joey or yugi mutuoh.

If youre finished farming him on one time appearance. Leave your duel links closed for 1hr-2hrs. I tested it. After farming him i leave my Pc open for3hrs for him to respwan( im using bluestacks if im bored with my sp) he did not even spawn.
Second expermient leaved duel links closed or pc for 1hrs-2hrs he spwans.
Ive been testing this since yugi muto and thats my theory.

Maybe the program is not good enough to operate spwaning him when it is open.
But in some instance he might respawn multiple times in just an hour. So you better watch out for it

Yeah, noticed that too. Also, I find that there's a higher chance to appear in short interval of each other on their lvls.

For example: you meet LVL40 and win, then maybe within 10 minutes or so a LVL30 will show up. Lvl30 to Lvl40 doesn't transition that much.

I don't think 1-2 hours will make him appear more, maybe 1 hour would do, based on how I go.
Source: 10/15 encounters within 12 hrs.
