Technically you can still do Dark Magician + Ancient Rules Combo. You just can't special summon EFFECT monsters on your first turn. You can only set them normally instead.

All this does is negate Cosmo Brain from being summoned on your first turn unless you have a stall plan for your next turn.

So the only nerf to this skill is that you now have to stall for one turn before doing the usual combo with Blue-Eyes stuff.

Really, Konami?

If your reason is "Arkana should use Dark Magician", then what you should do is making the skill requires the deck to run a DARK Spellcaster-Type NORMAL monster.....or make it so that the skill requires the deck to have 3 DARK Spellcaster monsters with different names, something that only DM decks can do.

Sadly,this skill needs exactly level 7 in the deck so gravekeepers doesn't benefit from this or decks that only use Dmoc.

No it doesn't, it needs level 7 or higher. I tried an experimental deck that literally just used 1 copy of MOBC as Dakini ritual fodder and it worked just fine.

So they add more support to other archetypes but still screw Ariana over by not fixing this skill

A mediocre skill that puts a hard to summon monster in your hand, and no one bats an eye.

Komoney puts in one monster that can sort of take advantage of it, and everyone losses their minds.

It was always good at doing what it was supposed to do, get 1 monster from ur deck and make sure u start with it.

Just means Kaiba maybe used more than Arkana. Still might use this skill for a version of Buster Fusion though.

You can still get cosmo brain by the effect of the new ranked duel card dwarf star dragon planeter
