I've schooled this dude so many times in the current meta that I don't really care if they nerf this is skill or not.

Yeah. But beyond that and adding more cosmo, I'm just not sure what else can be done to make it more consistent without trick. I have defeated almost every player I ran into that used the beatdown version. That worries me.

I don't think it deserves a nerf, but if it is, you will still see Arkana. What about poor Seto Kaiba? Blue-eyes are his cards and they don't even work the best with him. He should have a better skill for it like advent of the blue-eyes from the duelist chronicles event.

I don't hate the skill. I'm actually worried that there is no deck without it if they nerf it... Just about every KOG with blue-eyes that I see on here is with this skill and almost every time I pvp someone who is using this deck without trick (except once), they have lost to me. The deck is too dependent on the skill. If it gets nerfed, what will happen? Blue-eyes already bricks with it.

Beatdown version is also kog worthy, you can easily reach 4000 ATK per monster with such version. But yeah, it's a bit less consistent...

Good buff to Dark Magicians, Gravekeepers and Endymion for the Magical Citadel, but sadly dark specification means not for Northwemko, Medium of Ice Barrier, Kazejin or Legendary Flame Lord

not many do that really, they just expect to get easy wins. But the version of the BEWD deck with Arkana + Offerings was really entertaining and fun to play (and also very competitive)

Yes, because creative use of an old skill that isn't completely degenerate (Cyber Style pre-nerf) should be discouraged because Arkana uses DM as his ace. I suppose all D Hero players should be locked to playing only as Aster too?

The problem with blue-eyes is not trick up the sleeve, it is that there are not enough support cards to make it faster, so it is TOO dependent on this skill. Even with the skill, I've seen a lot of times where it becomes a brick up the sleeve when my opponent cannot get any blue-eyes or ways to get them on the first turn. I even saw one Arkana simply set 1 econ before ending his opening turn. Konami is making the same mistake that it made with U.A.: having a deck become too dependent on a skill because they didn't release more support cards to make it more consistent. That way, they can just nerf the skill when they don't want the deck to be too popular anymore. Then, they can get away with making you spend more gems/money on any cards that help those decks if they release them in a new box and get away with saying, "Hey, we didn't semi limit/limit any cards from this deck!" I know that this is just business practice and I'm not saying you can't get KOG with U.A. or Blue-eyes without those skills, I'm just saying how I think it works and why I think trick up the sleeve will probably get nerfed.

lol. This skill is not that OP compared to Balance (which outright fix 3 of the 4 cards in your hand), or Cyber Style pre-nerf (which allows you to use the Proto Cybers as free monsters for anything you want).

Your joking! Your guaranteed cosmo brain. Cyber style have to take life points to activate. Balance only give you a mix of your starting hand. But no guarantees on both skills. This skills guarantees cosmo brain. No wait for life points damage or a maybe good balance hand. You’re a troll.

For Pre-Cyber style you just needed 1 proto for decks like U.A.s and vampires to work. And you didn't need to lose LPs from battle, you could just use something like galaxy cyclone to clear one spell/trap your OP had and you were good to use Cyber Style.

And one guaranteed cosmo brain wasn't even enough for blue-eyes.

I think it is just as Fair as Balance, all it does is give a little consistency.

So the only nerf to this skill is that you now have to stall for one turn before doing the usual combo with Blue-Eyes stuff.

Really, Konami?

If your reason is "Arkana should use Dark Magician", then what you should do is making the skill requires the deck to run a DARK Spellcaster-Type NORMAL monster.....or make it so that the skill requires the deck to have 3 DARK Spellcaster monsters with different names, something that only DM decks can do.
