Pros

  • This card can target the Fusion Monster of your opponent in the field and send it back to the Extra Deck.
  • It can target your own Fusion Monster and Special Summon the Fusion Material monsters used for that Fusion Monster to your field.

Cons

  • You must have all the Fusion Material monsters in your Graveyard that is used for the Fusion Monster that is targeted by this card to Special Summon them.
  • You cannot Special Summon Fusion Material monsters in your Graveyard if the targeted Fusion Monster is not Special Summoned by Fusion.

Tips

Fuse and De-Fuse

These are the Cards that can Fusion Summon a Monster. You can then use De-Fusion after you attack with the Fusion Monster to Special Summon the Fusion Material Monsters since it's a Quick-Play Spell Card. You can then attack using those Special Summoned monsters for potential OTK.

Elemental Hero

Elemental Hero cards focuses on Fusion Monsters. It would be nice to pair De-Fusion with it for additional Firepower.

🔥ing card just bugged out. Targeted my fusion monster, fusion material monsters were in my graveyard but they didn't get special summoned to my field. What the 🔥?

You're saying this wouldn't work with brave neos?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Yeah, Neos doesn't have specific fusion material. So it won't work
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
That isn't why De-Fusion won't usually Summon anything when used on Brave Neos. (De-Fusion only cares about the cards you used as material, not if they're actually named on the card.) However, Neos Fusion doesn't Fusion Summon a monster, so there are no applicable monsters to Summon.

You could De-Fusion one Summoned with, say, Polymerization or Future Fusion and Summon the materials just fine.

It send the paladin to the extradeck but it does not spetial summon the fusion matirials
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
How did you summon it? Was it a Fusion summon and did you use exactly those materials?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
I get it now i cant spetial summon the fusion matirials if i use the new skill
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Then why the 🔥 is de-fusion even in there. Stupid 🔥ing skill.
Frank
I used it for Neos Knight by fusing Neos and EHero Blazeman, I took out some monsters in the battle phase with Neos Knight and then tried to use DeFusion to special summon Neos and Blazeman and it didn't, it just returned Neos Knight to the Extra deck
<< Anonymous(Frank)
Anonymous Reply
it would seem that de-fusion only works when the fusion monster targeted can only be fused by using specific monsters (such as Dark Paladin, Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, etc)
<< Anonymous(Frank)
Anonymous Reply
If you used blazeman at all during that turn it says so in it's effect, that you cannot special summon any monsters except fusion monsters.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
this is false, i use blazeman for synchro summon all the time
<< Anonymous(Frank)
Anonymous Reply
did you used blazemans effect to send an elemental hero from the deck to the graveyard? when you use that effect you CANNOT special summon any monsters EXCEPT FROM THE EXTAR DECK. Ive made that mistake before
Anonymous
Is this card bugged ... I fusion summoned "Twin Headed Thunder Dragon" using 2 Thunder Dragons ... and I attacked with the fusion monster then I used Defusion to bring the 2 thunder dragons from th GY ... It returned the fusion monster without summoning any of its materials that were in GY so Is this right ... I did not use any substitute !!!! What is that !!!
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
it wont work if you 2 monster on the field because you have to special summon 2 thunder dragon
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Maybe that ... Thank's dude It worked now
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
No No ... I remembered ... I was using fusion recycling plant and returned one of the two materials to hand (Note : There was a third thunder dragon at GY that was not used as a mat.) ... My bad .. You can only summon the monsters that were used exactly for fusion summoning even if You have many copies of the material monsters in the GY IT won't work

yes that why next time explain with detail so people can understand your situation and help you
Aurora
De-Fusion is bugged. Most people in the comments have been making an error with it but there is an actual bug with it.

Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon on the field with a Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon next to it. Twin Burst was properly fusion summoned and still has the materials in the grave tagged as 'Was used as Fusion Material'. De-Fusion on Twin Burst following how the card reads:

"Target 1 Fusion Monster on the field; return that target to the Extra Deck,"

So far so good, fusion monster returns to extra deck. Field: Empty/Spirit Dragon/Empty. No prompt to resummon used fusion materials though...

I'm impressed you never bother to read Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon's VERY FIRST LINE OF TEXT.

"Neither player" means you included XD

There's no bug, you just didn't read the text of your card :)

Thanks for the replies everyone, completely blanked that spirit has that blocking effect since it is rarely used for it. >_> What a tool.
Sora
De-fusion is the last UR card in the pack, and I have more 100 packs to open. Should I reset it or not?
<< Anonymous(Sora)

i suggest you reset unless you really like to play fusion
<< Anonymous(Sora)

Not worth. Fusions Decks aren't that strong at the moment

Why it won't work with UAGG?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Because AGG cant be special summoned
<< Anonymous
Dier Reply
use this card with Fusion Gate.. It work very well
<< Anonymous(Dier)
Anonymous Reply
AGG cannot be Special Summoned, so you can't use Magnet Reverse to revive it, so I don't know why did you even brought it up.
Anonymous
Can I use this card if I special summon BEUD from Summoner of Illusion's effect?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
all of the fusion monsters would have to be in the graveyard. So if you happen to have 3 blue-eyes sitting there then go for it.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Simply put: NO. It would absolutely HAVE to been Fusion summoned normally. Check the text again.
Geo
Does this card sends Anki and the rest of the masked heros back to extra deck?
<< Anonymous(Geo)
Anonymous Reply
Yeah, you can target any Fusion with it, even if it wasn't Fusion Summoned. Mask Change doesn't use Fusion Materials, though, so you won't Summon anything back even if it was your monster.
<< Anonymous

Thks for the fast respond!

can you attack with your fusion monster and then de fusion it to attack again?

Crucial if you’re going for a One Turn Fusion OTK if you run a deck whose Fusion monsters require high Atk Materials
Anonymous
No! This card is not quick play, this is a normal spell, i know this card when yami marik use it for canceled Winged Of RA effect and out from RA's head
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Yes, it's quick play.

Rule #1: NEVER use anime card effects as an argument for TCG cards. You will automatically lose the argument like how Kaiba lost to Exodia
Anonymous
Wait... does this card text means if its your opponents fusion monster, since the materials arent in your graveyard, it just acts as a hane hane quickplay spell? Thats pretty busted if fusions become meta
<< Anonymous
Oksy Reply
Omg yeah, holy 🔥 this is malarky! ;O

At least the AI's shouldn't have this card..

Besides Yugioh, I like One Piece. Kurohige is my role model. 659-440-527
Lvl 45 deck name is A Frog's Journey
Can easily be special summoned by mother grizzly.
This card will always deck out superheavy samurai since they don't use spell or traps.
