If you have no cards in your Extra Deck: Target 1 face-up Tribute Summoned monster you control; its effects are negated, also it is unaffected by the effects of cards other than this card.

Makes your monster immune to all other card effects.

Negates your monster's effect.
Can only be used on a tribute summoned monster.

Tips

Monarchs

As the name implies this card was made with Monarch support in mind. All monarch monsters want to be tribute summoned to gain advantage. The Monarchs Erupt will serve as disruption against enemy monster effects with your Monarch's effects not being negated. The Vassal's will also not be negated as their effects activate on-hand and in the graveyard when they are tributed. Make sure you only activate The Monarchs Awaken after your Monarch's effect has already resolved.

Ancient Gear

Ancient Gear is an archetype heavy on tribute summoning. Another trait of Ancient Gear monsters is that they prevent your opponent from using spell/trap cards during battle. With the added monster effect disruption of The Monarchs Erupt your opponent would have a hard time getting effects off against you.

Probably, but if you negate the effect of Ra or Slifer through MA they will end up with 0 ATK...

oh. absolute complete permanent immunity to everything but battle. This kicks 🔥 in its own archetype, would be meta-defining if the format was slow enough for two-tribute monsters.

Yes, this effect lasts for as long as the monster remains on the field. Hoo boy, things might get interesting when we get 3.

Does it wipe past card effects, or does it only prevent future effects from working? If I stick this in my Hazy Beast Rising deck, could I wind up with a 4000 Attack Chimera that can't be affected by card effects?

One way to find out...

Holy crap... the attack value stays. So my Beast Rising monstrosity goes from not being able to be targeted, to not being affected by effects at all.

Not surprising. Lingering effects aren't removed when a card becomes unaffected. Continually applied ones, like most Equip or Field Spells or cards like Hoshiningen will stop applying to it, though.

This is useful for normal monsters like dark magician and blue eyes white dragon

The only one you would use it on is Golem, and it would lose it's piercing effect which is kind of it's point.

Best candinate for this card right now is Super Conductor Tyranno.
